Purpose doesn’t end where a life does.

Standing in Kibbutz Be’eri I kept thinking about the young people who died before they ever found what they came here to do. And then I felt it change in me. Wherever they are now, I believe there is purpose there too.

What would you stop waiting for if you trusted that?

This Heritage Day, we celebrate where we came from. Our cultures, our stories, our traditions and the many things that shape who we are.

Belonging should never require us to seek the approval of others.

So often, another persons approval or disapproval has more to do with the lens through which they see the world than with who we truly are.

Perhaps the question isn’t, “Am I enough for them?” But rather, “Am I living authentically as the person God made me to be?”

Our differences are part of our heritages. Our shared humanity is what connects us. And there is freedom in knowing that we don’t need anyone else’s permission to belong.

Happy Heritage Day, South Africa 🇿🇦

How often do we look to others to tell us that we are enough?

Approval can feel like belonging, but when our sense of worth depends on how others see us, we give them the power to define who we are.

Not everyone will understand you, and they don’t have to.

Hold onto who you are, trust your own path, and remember:
You don’t need permission to belong 🤍

As women, we so often become the caretakers, the ones who give, nurture, notice and hold space for the people around us.

But within all the roles we carry it’s important to hold onto the woman underneath them all.

To remain connected to who we are, to love authentically, and to never lose ourselves in the process of caring for everyone else 🤍

We often think we need to escape the darkness to find the light ✨

But perhaps the darkness is what allows us to recognise the light when it begins to appear.

Our difficult seasons can reveal our strengths, deepen our understanding and show us what we may never have seen otherwise.

There is always light trying to push through. Sometimes, we simply have to trust that the darkness is part of finding it.

Making peace with the past doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t hurt. It means choosing not to let it hold you there 🤍

Forgive who you are. Accept what you cannot change. Take the lessons, honour the growth, and release the weight you were never meant to carry forever.

The past will always be part of your story, but it doesn’t have to define where you go next ✨

Sometimes moving forward begins with making peace with what has already been.

When we can look back with acceptance, seeing not only the darkness, but also the lessons, growth and freedom it brought us, the past no longer has to keep us stuck.

Forgiveness isn’t always about forgiving someone else.
Sometimes it’s about forgiving ourselves, forgiving God, and releasing what we cannot change.

Only then can we step into what comes next with greater freedom.

A new season doesn’t ask us to become someone new.

It simply asks us to let go of what no longer belongs.
The expectations. The comparisons. The need to please. The versions of ourselves we’ve already outgrown.
As we step into a new season, ask yourself:
What am I ready to leave behind, and what can I make space for instead?

The person waiting on the other side is simply more of you.

“I am a gift God made me and am free” 🌸

As we enter a new season, let’s take time to let go of the expectations of others, of who we think we should be, and of the need for outside validation.

When we understand that we are made in the image of God, we can trust who we are and step into the world with greater freedom and authenticity.

A new season is an opportunity to come home to ourselves.

Every time we resist our truth, we move further away from who we’re meant to be.

When we have the courage to show up authentically, with honesty, vulnerability, and compassion, we don’t just transform ourselves, we give others permission to do the same.
