That’s why Optimal Life looks beyond a single number.

Using advanced assessments and gold-standard equipment, we bring together pieces of information to help create a broader picture of your health.

Because better health decisions start with better information.

Blood sugar is not something we should think about when we’re diagnosed with diabetes.

How your body manages glucose is an important part of metabolic health. There are everyday habits that can support healthier blood sugar regulation.

Regular movement, adequate sleep, a balanced diet, managing stress and maintaining a healthy body composition can all play a role.

The goal isn’t to fear carbohydrates or obsess over a single glucose reading.

It’s about understanding your metabolic health and making sustainable choices that support it over time.

Because when we talk about longevity, we’re not just talking about living longer.

We’re talking about maintaining health, function and quality of life for longer.

What longevity topic should Dr Moti cover next?

One month of Optimal Life.

And if there’s one thing we’ve been reminded of, it’s this:

People want to understand their health.

Not simply whether a number falls inside a reference range, but what their health data means in the context of their lifestyle, goals, history and future.

From body composition and cardiovascular fitness to cognitive health and functional measures, Optimal Life helps you see the bigger picture and provides a starting point for meaningful conversations.

As we move into month two, we’ll continue sharing what these measurements can tell us, answering your questions and exploring the science behind preventative and personalised healthcare.

What would you like Dr Moti to unpack next?

When we talk about muscle, the conversation often focuses on strength or appearance.

But muscle health is about so much more.

Muscle supports movement, balance, independence and everyday function. It also plays an important role in metabolic health and how your body handles glucose.

As we age, maintaining muscle strength and function becomes increasingly important.

That’s why Optimal Life looks beyond the number on the scale. Through assessments such as DEXA and grip strength, we can gain insights into body composition and physical function.

The goal isn’t a particular body shape.
It’s about building and maintaining the strength and function you need to live the life you want, for longer.

Your health is more than a number on a scale.

When we talk about cancer and other diseases, prevention and early detection are sometimes used interchangeably, but they play different roles.

Prevention focuses on reducing exposure to known risk factors and adopting evidence-based strategies that can lower cancer risk. Early detection focuses on finding certain cancers earlier, through appropriate screening or assessment, when treatment may be more effective.

Neither approach guarantees that cancer won’t occur. And not every cancer has an effective screening test for people without symptoms.

That’s why understanding your individual risk matters.

Your age, family history, genetics, lifestyle and medical history can all influence the conversations you should have with your healthcare professional.

This October, we’re using our platform to encourage more informed conversations around cancer awareness, prevention, early detection and integrative care.

What topic would you like Dr Moti to explain next?

08/10/2026

Can you feel completely healthy and still have cancer?

The answer is yes.

Some cancers can develop without obvious symptoms, particularly in their earlier stages. That’s one of the reasons appropriate screening can be so important, even when you feel well.

But this doesn’t mean that feeling healthy should make you worried. It means that how you feel is only one part of understanding your health.

Your age, family history, genetics, medical history and other risk factors can all influence which screening conversations are relevant to you.

And if you notice a persistent or unusual change in your body, don’t ignore it simply because you otherwise feel healthy.
Know your risk. Know your screening options. Ask the questions.

What would you like Dr Moti to answer next?

We can’t control every factor that influences our cancer risk, but there are meaningful things we can do.

Not smoking, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight, eating a balanced diet, limiting alcohol and protecting yourself from excessive UV exposure are among the evidence-based measures associated with reducing cancer risk.

Prevention isn’t simply living perfectly. It’s about understanding where you can make sustainable changes and knowing which areas deserve your attention.

Which of these habits are already part of your routine?

What exactly does integrative oncology mean?

It doesn’t mean replacing conventional cancer treatment with alternative therapies.

Integrative oncology looks at the person as a whole and considers evidence-informed ways to support wellbeing alongside appropriate cancer treatment.

This may include nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, emotional wellbeing and carefully considered supportive therapies.

Importantly, “natural” doesn’t automatically mean safe. Some supplements and complementary therapies can interact with cancer treatment, which is why they should always be discussed with your oncology team.

The goal is simple: support the person while keeping appropriate cancer treatment at the centre of care.

Breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink, it’s about paying attention to changes in your body. It’s about understanding your risk and knowing what screening is appropriate for you.

Screening recommendations aren’t the same for everyone. Age, family history, genetics and personal medical history can all influence the conversation you should have with your healthcare professional.

And importantly, screening is not the same as diagnosis. Its purpose is to identify certain cancers earlier, when treatment can be more effective.

This month, we’re opening up more conversations around integrative oncology. In particular, we’re looking at prevention and early detection.
