Freedom from fear…is within us. All that is needed is to stop looking for it and recognise that it already exists. Fear is a noise that blocks us from seeing it. And Peace is always a constant element of who we are, no matter the thought, feeling, or adversity. Take a moment and once you have managed to calm the fear ask yourself what lays beneath it - take it off like you would a table cloth and reveal to yourself your true self - without fear. One way to overcome fear is to remember the reason you started in the first place! When you experience fear you cannot think clearly. When this happens :Take a few deep breaths (inhale slowly - feel your diaphragm fill with air and exhale slowly through your nose) 5 of these should do. Once, you feel a bit more in control, analyse if your fear is rational or not. Most of the time it’s not. And Reflect on your mission or your purpose for action. Keeping your eye on the mission can help you take just one step further forward!

What is fear and when do we experience it? Fear is a response to an external or internal trigger which ignited our fight or flight response. Fear has its place but it can also have a negative impact 📉. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, and even, fear of success can impede us from reaching our full potential. Motivation does not stay the same…it fluctuates. Being consistent and intentional can show greater results! Here are some ways to stay consistent for success: 1. Know your WHY, what and how. 2. Set your GOALS (long term and short term)🥅. 3. Make a plan that is realistic 📝 (you don’t have to go full speed). 4. Get an accountability partner 👫. 5. Context matters! How many times have we heard this?
For me, it is something I think about regularly in both the personal and the professional areas of my life.
Human behaviour is influenced by human and nonhuman factors. Meaning that the work context, friends, climate, etc. can either bring out the best of us or the worst of us. When we are in the wrong environment or around the wrong people we can find ourselves becoming the worst version of who we are as we try to navigate the situation. We can become short-tempered, irrational, or bitter.
The opposite is also true. In the right environment and with the right people, we can flourish and allow the best sides of us to shine.
It is unfortunate to acknowledge that most of us find ourselves in a place where we are the worst versions of ourselves while trying to force ourselves to fit into something wrong. And we can only realise this once we are out of it.
Improving our self-awareness and understanding of the human and nonhuman factors that promote us to flourish is important.

To be told to smile is a common thing we hear from others when we feel down. It does not come from nowhere! Optimism and positive thinking have been proven to help improve your health. Why not try a small exercise everyday to improve your positive thinking habits and health?
A quick tip: At the end of every day, before going to bed, think of 3 positive things (no matter how small) that happened to you or that you did in your day.
