Blocked fallopian tubes often remain asymptomatic, and many women may be unaware of their condition until they encounter difficulties trying to conceive. In certain instances, blocked tubes may manifest as mild and consistent pain on one side of the abdomen. This occurs when a blocked fallopian tube becomes filled with fluid, leading to its enlargement.

If you'd like to find out whether your tubes are blocked or not, get in touch with us here http://tinyurl.com/ftr-8th

We get asked this a lot, and we're VERY happy to say YES! Here's how it works:

🌸 If a fallopian tube is found to be blocked, a speculum is placed in the va**na and then a catheter is placed through the cervix into the uterus.
🌸 Then, to unblock the fallopian tube, a small, soft microwire is threaded through the fallopian tube to clear it.
🌸 This procedure is called Fallopian Tube Recanalisation, and it can work for you!

If you need help with this, that's why we're here! Get in touch with us through our website http://tinyurl.com/ftr-faq1

According to recent studies, a daily dose of vitamin D can significantly inhibit the growth of uterine fibroids and even contribute to overall shrinkage 🙌 Although vitamin D can’t completely eliminate fibroids, it can assist with symptom relief while you explore more permanent treatment options such as UFE 🙏

Have we got your attention yet? A hysterectomy is NOT the only way to cure severe fibroid symptoms in the uterus. Uterine Fibroid Embolisation (UFE) is a life-changing treatment where a catheter is inserted through a small incision in the wrist. X-ray technology is used to direct the catheter to the arteries that supply blood to the fibroids. Tiny particles are injected to stop blood flow, causing the fibroids to shrink and disappear 🌸

Blocked fallopian tubes can be caused by debris from a pelvic infection. To properly diagnose a blocked fallopian tube, the following process is generally followed 👇

💮 Your doctor may suggest a laparoscopy.
💮 The other option is a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). During the HSG examination, a liquid dye is inserted by a small tube through the cervix into the uterus.

Uterine Fibroid Embolisation (UFE) is a minimally invasive procedure that requires only ONE NIGHT in the hospital, and ONE WEEK to recover. Here's what to expect after the treatment:

✓ Immediate improvements in periods.
✓ There will be a dull tummy ache, like a bad period, due to the arteries that supply the fibroids shutting down. This pain is easily controlled with pain medication.
✓ The skin puncture is so small that there's no need for stitches, and will probably be invisible within a few weeks.
✓ You can go home as soon as you're comfortable the day after the procedure.

The fallopian tubes are vital for the union of the egg and the s***m 🌻 The o***y releases an egg, then travels into the open fallopian tube where the s***m travels up and fertilises it. The resulting embryo is then transported to the uterus and pregnancy continues! 👶

This is why the Fallopian Tube Recanalisation (FTR) procedure is so important ✨ If you've been diagnosed and want to find out more, visit our website at https://tinyurl.com/ftrrole1

Uterine Fibroid Embolisation (UFE) is a minimally invasive procedure that blocks blood supply to fibroids that have formed in the uterus 🌹 It's performed in 3 steps:

1️⃣ A thin tube is placed from the artery of the wrist and advanced into the blood vessels that supply the uterus.
2️⃣ Tiny particles are released into the blood vessels supplying the fibroids.
3️⃣ The fibroids, now starved of their nutrient supply, shrink, and periods improve immediately.

Q: Am I eligible for the Uterine Fibroid Embolisation procedure if I am HIV positive?

A: We're happy to say a big "YES"! As long as your CD4 count is normal and viral load is low, there should be no complications and you'll still be eligible for the UFE procedure.

If you've been diagnosed with fibroids and you'd like to find out more about UFE treatment, visit our website at https://tinyurl.com/ufe-faq

The fallopian tubes are an integral part of the reproductive system and represent the passageways for the female’s eggs to travel from the ovaries to the uterus. After the o***y releases an egg, its travels into the fallopian tube, where s***m can fertilise the egg and pregnancy can take place 💐 Blocked fallopian tubes may cause difficulties in getting pregnant. The blockage prevents the egg from reaching the uterus and may also hinder the fertilisation process. Did you know loss of blood can also mean loss of hemoglobin, an iron-rich protein found in red blood cells? When iron begins to abnormally deplete from the blood, it can no longer carry oxygen and this is known as iron-deficiency anemia. This form of anaemia is associated with a number of symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness and in some cases heart problems. It's also a condition frequently encountered by women dealing with fibroids. If you've received a fibroids diagnosis and are seeking a non-invasive solution, please reach out to us online or visit our website at www.fibroids.co.za 💐
