Q Why is the Ablase SA Method the most popular method for reducing/removing lip lines?
A The Ablase Method allows for the physical removal of the lines through techniques addressing the leveling of skin & lasts for several years. The treated area has been restored to its former smooth surface, without the use of an artificial substance.
Q What makes the Ablase Method superior to similar devices?
A The Ablase is one of the few medical grade genuine plasma devices being used in SA. The device is SAHPRA licensed. Most devices used in SA are unregulated, unlicensed & therefore illegal. The general public are completely unaware of the fact that in 99% of cases they are being subjected to treatment using illegal devices. The Ablase also has adjustable settings which allow for customisation to safely treat the various skin types. We have a stringent pre & post care protocol to ensure fast healing. Our exceptionally fine tip ensures great precision i& detailed delivery of the energy to the skin.
Q How does the Ablase technolgy work?
A Plasma, the fourth state of matter, is used by the Ablase to create an electrical arc to sublimate & burn the skins surface, triggering an immune response. The immune response results on the tightening of the skin as well as the production of collagen and elastin. The heat delivered from the Ablase also has an antibacterial effect on the skin. The heat is also used to burn away excess skin.
Q Explain how the use of fillers & the Ablase Method differ?
A Fillers contain hyaluronic acid &, are injected into the lips & lip lines. The hyaluronic acid attracts moisture to the injected site & 'pumps up' the lines. The results last from 12 to 18 months & then require repetition. The Ablase Method involves the physical resurfacing of your skin leaving you with a long lasting smooth, natural looking lip.
Q What are the risks of using filler versus the Ablase Method?
A Fillers may result in an unnatural ' trout pout' or 'Neanderthal' like' upper lip. Patients, will experience temporary bruising & swelling. Fillers are temporary, they cost anything from R3500 a vial & last 12 to 18 months. The Ablase Method results in the treated area being scabby & red for 5 to 7 days post treatment. Redness, pinkness, dryness may continue for several weeks post treatment.but may be camouflaged with make up. Costs are R4250 & results are long lasting, 3 to 5 years.
Q How many treatments have the patients had in your before and after photos?
A Unless otherwise stated, the after photos, are usually taken 10 to 14 days after one Ablase Method session only. . No photo shopping nor editing apps have been used
Q How painful is the Ablase Method?
A The treated area is numbed with a powerful anaesthetic cream. Pain receptors vary from patient to patient but usually our anaesthetic cream ensures patient comfort. An alternative is to have a local anaesthetic injection.
Q How many treatments will I need?
A Profound improvement is evident after the first treatment. However some patients choose to have a follow up treatment a couple of years after the first one.
