🌍✨ Youth Connekt 2026 — Connecting Youth, Ideas & Opportunities

Attending Youth Connekt 2026 was more than just being present in a room filled with young people — it was an opportunity to connect, learn, share ideas and be reminded of the incredible power young people have to shape the future.

From meaningful conversations to new connections and fresh perspectives, the experience reminded me that youth participation is not just about being included — it is about being empowered to contribute, lead and create solutions.

As a young leader, medical student and youth advocate, I’m committed to continuing to use every opportunity to learn, connect and turn conversations into meaningful action. 💙

Here’s to building a generation that is informed, connected, courageous and ready to lead. 🌍✨

🌸 A little reminder about self-love…

Self-love isn’t thinking you’re perfect. It’s learning to appreciate yourself while you’re still growing. 🤍

It’s giving yourself grace when you make mistakes.
It’s setting boundaries without feeling guilty.
It’s resting without feeling like you have to earn it.
It’s choosing people and spaces that bring you peace.
It’s celebrating your small wins, too. 🥹✨

You don’t have to have everything figured out to be worthy of love, respect, and kindness.

You are allowed to grow at your own pace.
You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to become the person you’re proud of.

Be gentle with yourself. You’re becoming. 🌱🤍

AI really said: “Let me expose your whole personality in one picture.” 😭😂

Medical student? ✅ 🩺
Youth advocate? ✅ 💙
UN girlie? 🌍
Leader? 👑
Trying to change the world while still figuring out my own life? ABSOLUTELY. 😂😭

Honestly, if my camera roll, CV, dreams, and responsibilities had a baby… this caricature would be it. 😂

But jokes aside, I’m grateful for every role, every opportunity, every lesson, and every person helping me grow.

Still becoming. Still learning. Still dreaming BIG. ✨

And yes… apparently AI thinks I’m doing a lot. 😂

What would YOUR AI caricature expose about you? 👀😂

ZAMBIA CLIMATE RUN IN CALL FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION
‎
‎Hundreds of people laced up their running shoes at NASDEC last Saturday morning, not just to keep fit, but to send a clear message that protecting the environment is everyone's responsibility.
‎
‎Speaking during the event, Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Permanent Secretary Mr. Kangwa Chileshe said climate change is no longer a distant concern but a reality that is affecting communities across the country.
‎
‎Varun Beverages, the main sponsor of the event, was there to support climate awareness and to promote plastic recycling.
‎
‎Among those who joined the run were Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit Ms. Kusobile Kamwambi and officials from the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment.
‎
‎After the run, the Permanent Secretary led participants in planting trees within the NASDEC premises.
‎
‎I urge us all to take care of the environment around us. Our environment, Our world.
