Our advice this Dubai Fitness Challenge 🏃🏻‍♀️

If you spend your days at a desk and your evenings at the gym, your body is working hard to keep up with both.

Long hours of sitting can leave the hips tight, the glutes less active and the upper back a little stiff. So when it’s time to squat, press or deadlift, other areas can end up compensating and working harder than they should.

A short, simple reset before you train, with a focus on mobility and muscle activation, can make a real difference. It helps your body shift out of desk mode and into training mode, so you can lift with more control and confidence. With the Dubai Fitness Challenge under way, it’s a simple habit to build into every one of your 30 days.
Give your body ten minutes to get ready. It is important. 💚

Creaks, cracks, tingles and the occasional zombie shuffle out of bed. Our bodies can make some spooky noises.

The good news is that most of them are perfectly normal. Joints click, muscles get sore after a tough session and a leg can fall asleep if you sit on it for long. Knowing what's harmless and what's worth a closer look takes the fright out of it.

This Halloween, the only thing haunting you should be the sweets. 🎃💚

Three questions. Thirty seconds.

We asked Manos and Ioannis what people most commonly get wrong in recovery, what deserves more attention than it tends to get and what matters most when working with a patient. The answers come quickly and naturally from experience, pointing to something larger: recovery works best when movement, education and the individual are all part of a consistent plan.

There is rarely one universal answer in physiotherapy. How we approach exercise and recovery depends on who is in front of us and what they are working towards.💚

With Pink October coming to a close, it's a gentle reminder that looking after yourself and the people you love matters all year round.

Regular self-checks and the screenings your doctor recommends can help spot changes early. And because breast cancer can affect men too, awareness matters for everyone.

For anyone going through treatment or recovery, the right support can make a real difference. Women's health and post-surgical physiotherapy, gentle manual lymphatic drainage, Clinical Pilates and functional medicine can all work alongside your medical team to support movement, comfort and overall wellbeing.

Wherever you are in your recovery, the right support can help you keep moving forward. 🩷💚

Feeling well isn’t always found in the big moments.

In a busy day, taking a few extra seconds to slow down, feel and connect with what you do, notice your surroundings or simply be present can have a meaningful impact on how you feel.

We believe health is built through intentional habits that support your body. Caeli reminds us that those habits can also become beautiful rituals that support your mind.

Because self care is about making the moments you already have count. 💚

Your bones are living tissue, always renewing themselves, which means they respond to care at every stage of life.

Osteoporosis can develop quietly, so this World Osteoporosis Day is a gentle reminder to check in early. Moving regularly, building strength and getting enough vitamin D, calcium and protein can all help keep your bones strong.

Look after the bones that carry you through your day. 💚

What does being a good physiotherapist actually mean?

Sometimes, it starts with recognising that you are not there to do all the work for the body. You are there to listen, understand, remove obstacles and provide the right direction.

A little insight from Ioannis on the philosophy behind the way we approach recovery at Kinesis. 💚

Some of the most meaningful lessons in paediatric physiotherapy don’t come from a textbook. They come from the children we work with.

Every child arrives with their own pace, personality and way of communicating. Sometimes progress is clear to see. Other times, it’s quiet and takes a little patience to notice.

Gabriela shares the story of her daughter, who changed the way she works. It’s a lesson she carries into every session.

Every child teaches us something, if we’re willing to slow down and listen. 💚

Training for fitness competitions can make supplements feel like a great supporting system. But more is not always better.

Supplements can have a place in a training plan, they should complement the foundations rather than replace them. Nutrition, hydration, rest, sleep and recovery still matter and what is appropriate can vary significantly from person to person and on different days.

Before adding something to your routine, it is worth understanding what your body actually needs.

Support your performance with choices that are considered, personalised and right for you. 💚
