The morning routine that CHANGED MY LIFE. 🌄🌊

Before the scrolling, the rushing and the demands of the day, I take a moment to reconnect with my body.

This routine combines gentle touch, tapping and movement — helping me feel more awake, grounded and ready for life.

Follow along 👇

① UNDER THE EARS + JAW
Use very light cupped-hand tapping around the jaw and below the ears. Keep contact gentle and avoid pressing into the front of your neck.

② COLLARBONES
Lightly tap around the collarbones, where major lymphatic pathways return fluid to the bloodstream.

③ ARMPITS
Gently massage and lightly tap around each armpit — an area containing important lymph node clusters.

④ BELLY + HIP CREASES
Use soft sweeping strokes across your belly 3 times. Then lightly tap around the creases where your thighs meet your lower belly.

⑤ GENTLE HOPS
Finish with small, comfortable hops and soft landings. Prefer less impact? Try heel raises or marching instead. 🌿

Why include movement?

Muscle contractions and breathing help move lymph through its vessels. Your lymphatic system collects excess tissue fluid, supports immune defence and returns fluid to your bloodstream.

The touch and tapping add a sensory focus, while movement can help you:
⚡ feel more alert
🌱 strengthen body awareness
💆 ease a sense of stiffness
🤍 start your day feeling more present

Keep everything light and pain-free. More pressure isn’t better.

Regulation includes waking up and engaging with life — then knowing how to settle again.

Save this for tomorrow morning. ☀️

Stress doesn’t just stay in your mind... it often shows up right here.

This area behind the jaw and underneath the ear is surrounded by muscles, connective tissue, and lymph nodes. When these tissues become tight, your neck and jaw can feel stiff, and you may notice tension spreading into your head and shoulders.

Try gently brushing from behind the ear, around the angle of the jaw, and forward underneath the jaw toward the chin about **22 times on each side**.

This gentle technique may help:
💚 Relax tight muscles around the jaw and neck
💚 Release tension in the surrounding fascia
💚 Support healthy lymphatic drainage in the neck
💚 Reduce feelings of neck and shoulder tightness
💚 Ease jaw stiffness
💚 Encourage comfortable movement of the tissues around the ear and jaw
💚 Promote a calmer nervous system when combined with slow nasal breathing
💚 Help you feel more relaxed and refreshed

Move slowly, use gentle pressure, and let your breath stay calm and relaxed.

Can you puff up your cheeks AND lift one eyebrow? 👀

It looks playful — but combining unfamiliar facial movements with slow breathing can be a useful way to bring your attention back into your body. 🌊

Try this with me 👇

① Puff up both cheeks and gently lift your RIGHT eyebrow.
Hold while breathing in slowly through your nose and breathing out a little longer.

② Keep your cheeks puffed and raise BOTH eyebrows.
Take another slow nasal inhale and a longer, comfortable exhale.

③ Release the air, then gently press your tongue against the inside of your RIGHT cheek.
Keep that light pressure as you breathe slowly in and even slower out.

No need to get the eyebrow movement perfect. Keep your jaw comfortable and let your breath flow — don’t strain or hold it. 🌿

Why can this help?

Your face, mouth and tongue have rich sensory nerve connections. Exploring pressure and movement gives your brain clear sensations to focus on, helping you shift attention away from racing thoughts.

Alongside this sensory focus, slow breathing can support vagal and parasympathetic activity — helping your body wind down after stress.

This combination can help you:

😮‍💨 settle after an intense day
🧠 interrupt an overthinking spiral
🫁 find a steadier breathing rhythm
🌱 strengthen body awareness
🤍 feel more present and grounded

Regulation means flexibility: having the energy to engage with life, and the ability to settle again afterwards.

Sometimes, a small, playful practice is a good place to start.

Your face may be holding more tension than you realize.

The roof of your mouth is connected to muscles and connective tissues that work together with your jaw, cheeks, tongue, and the rest of your face. Gently releasing this area can be a simple way to help your face feel more relaxed.

This technique may help:
💚 Release tension in the facial fascia
💚 Relax tight muscles around the jaw and cheeks
💚 Improve mobility of the soft tissues inside the mouth
💚 Encourage comfortable nasal breathing
💚 Increase body awareness and reduce unconscious facial tension
💚 Support healthy jaw function
💚 Promote a calmer, more relaxed nervous system when combined with slow breathing
💚 Help your face feel softer and more refreshed

Go slowly, breathe through your nose, and never force the movement. Gentle and consistent is always better than aggressive pressure.

You can’t THINK your way out of every stress spiral. Start with your body. 👇🌊

If your thoughts keep racing, your head feels tense and you struggle to switch off, try this gentle sequence.

Give your attention somewhere else to land: touch, rhythm and your breath.

① TRAGUS MASSAGE — 4 slow breaths 👂
Take the tragus — the small cartilage flap just in front of your ear opening — between your thumb and index finger.

Gently massage it on both ears. Breathe in slowly through your nose and breathe out a little longer, without forcing.

Keep the pressure comfortable. No hard pinching or pulling.

② THIRD-EYE TAPPING — 4 slow breaths 🌿
With the index and middle fingers lightly tap between your eyebrows, traditionally called the Yintang point.

Continue with a slow nasal inhale and an even slower, comfortable exhale. Let your forehead and jaw soften.

Why this combination? 🧠

Your ears and face provide rich sensory input. Gentle touch and rhythmic tapping can help bring your attention out of repetitive thoughts and into present sensations.

Slow breathing also supports vagal and parasympathetic activity — helping your body settle after activation.

This practice can help you:
😮‍💨 wind down after stress
💆 soften facial tension
🌱 feel more grounded
🫁 find a steadier breathing rhythm
🤍 create a pause before reacting

The goal isn’t to silence every thought. It’s to build more flexibility in how you respond.

Save this for your next overthinking spiral.

Feeling emotionally heavy — and tight around your ribs? Try this gentle release. 🌊

Stress and sadness can show up physically: a held breath, a braced belly, or tension around your ribcage. Giving this area a little attention may help you soften that tension and find more breathing space.

Follow along 👇

① RIB-EDGE STROKES — 3 times
Place your fingertips at the solar plexus, just below the breastbone. Inhale gently through your nose. As you exhale, brush downward and outward along the lower rib edges with comfortable, light pressure.

② HUM + TAP — 4 breaths
Bring your fingertips together and lightly tap the upper belly. Breathe in through your nose, then hum softly through a longer, comfortable exhale. Let the vibration become something you can feel and focus on.

③ GENTLE RIB CONTACT — around 7 breaths
Place your fingertips along both lower rib margins. On each exhale, lean forward slightly and allow the belly to soften beneath your hands. Gradually move along the rib edges and back again.

Keep contact shallow. Don’t dig or force your fingers underneath the ribs. Stop if you feel pain, nausea or dizziness.

This combination may help you:

🫁 find easier, less restricted breathing
💆 soften tension around the ribs and upper belly
🌿 reconnect with your body
😮‍💨 wind down after stress

Slow breathing can support vagal and parasympathetic activity. Gentle touch adds a soothing sensory focus.

Pause afterwards. Notice what feels different — without forcing a release. 🤍

One adjustment for the instructions: keep contact on the SCM muscle itself rather than pressing inward into the gap in front of it, where sensitive blood vessels lie. Avoid pressure over a pulse.

TIGHT JAW, HEADACHE OR STRESS THAT WON’T LET GO? Your neck may be part of the picture. 👇

The sternocleidomastoid—or SCM—runs from behind your ear toward your collarbone and breastbone. Tension here can contribute to discomfort around the neck, jaw and head.

Try this gentle release alongside slow breathing. 🌿

① Start just beneath the ear.

Use your left hand to lightly hold the upper SCM between your thumb and fingers. Keep contact on the muscle itself rather than pressing inward toward the throat.

Massage gently while taking 4 comfortable breaths: slowly in through your nose, then even more slowly out. 😮‍💨

② Move slightly lower along the muscle.

Turn your head gently toward the opposite side, within a comfortable range. Lightly hold the SCM and give it a small, gentle lift and squeeze—without forceful pulling.

Stay here for another 4 slow breaths, letting your shoulders soften as you exhale.

③ Repeat the complete sequence on the other side.

Work on one side at a time. Avoid pressure over a pulse, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or nausea.

This combination can help:

💆 ease neck and jaw tension
🧠 reduce tension-related headache discomfort
↔️ make turning your head feel more comfortable
🌊 provide soothing sensory input
🫁 support relaxation through slow breathing
🌿 help your body settle after stress

The aim is a softer neck and easier breathing. Gentle contact is enough—you don’t need to dig deeply to feel a change.

Save this for your next tense day.

TIGHT TEMPLES, A HEAVY HEAD OR TENSION CREEPING UP FROM YOUR NECK? Try these two points. 👇

Headache discomfort can come with tension around the temples, jaw and base of the skull. Gentle acupressure offers a practical way to work with these areas and help your body wind down.

① TAIYANG — the temple points

Place your index fingers in the small hollows at your temples, slightly behind the outer ends of your eyebrows.

Massage gently in small circles for 60 seconds, using comfortable pressure.

This area lies over the temporalis—a chewing muscle that often tightens when you clench your jaw. Working here can help soften temple tension and ease tension-related headache discomfort. 💆

② FENGCHI / GB20 — beneath the skull

Place your thumbs in the two hollows at the back of your head, just underneath the skull and on either side of the thick neck muscles.

Apply gentle, steady pressure for 60 seconds. Keep your neck relaxed and avoid digging deeply.

This can help ease tightness at the base of the skull and headache discomfort associated with neck tension. 🌿

Throughout both exercises, breathe slowly through your nose and let your exhale last a little longer than your inhale. 😮‍💨

Together, this sequence can support:

✨ less temple and head tension
🦷 a softer, less clenched jaw
💆 relaxation around the upper neck
🌊 calming sensory input
🧘 greater body awareness and a moment to unwind

Keep every touch comfortable—more pressure isn’t always more effective. Save this for your next tension-filled day.

YOUR FACE MAY BE HOLDING MORE STRESS THAN YOU REALIZE. 👇

When your nervous system is overloaded, tension often gathers around the temples, scalp and jaw. This simple sequence combines fascia stretching, jaw release and slow breathing to help your whole system wind down.

① Gently pinch the skin and fascia over both temples and pull outward. Hold for approximately 20 seconds without creating pain.

② Place your palms against your temples and your fingers over the top of your head. Press your palms upward to lift the tissues around the temples while your fingers create gentle opposing pressure from above.

Hold for another 30 seconds and allow the stretch to spread across your temples and scalp.

③ Place your thumbs beside your nose, underneath the cheekbones. Using comfortable pressure, slowly brush backward beneath the cheekbones, across the jaw muscles and TMJ area, until you reach the bottom of the ears.

Then reverse the movement and glide forward toward the nose. Repeat the complete back-and-forward movement 5 times.

Throughout the entire sequence, breathe slowly in through your nose—and even more slowly out. 😮‍💨

This practice can help:

💆 release temple, scalp and jaw tension
🦷 soften clenching around the TMJ area
🌊 provide calming sensory input
🧠 ease the feeling of pressure around the head
😮‍💨 support parasympathetic activity through longer exhales
🌿 improve awareness of where your body is holding stress

Keep the pressure strong enough to feel effective, but never painful. Then pause and notice whether your forehead feels smoother, your jaw feels lighter and your breathing moves more freely.
