🎙️ Meet Melissa — Speech Pathologist, voice specialist & professionally trained singer.

Melissa brings something truly unique to voice therapy: deep clinical expertise and a performer’s soul. Trained in both classical and contemporary singing, she has extensive performance experience — giving her an intimate, first-hand understanding of what the voice is capable of, and what it needs to thrive. 🎶

She specialises in voice disorders, working with singers, performers, teachers, professional voice users and anyone whose voice is central to who they are. Whether you’re dealing with vocal strain, recovering from injury, or just not sounding like yourself — Melissa understands it from both sides of the microphone.

Certified in LSVT LOUD, she also supports clients with Parkinson’s disease to rebuild vocal strength and confidence. 🧠

Also with a background in Psychology, Melissa has a warm, caring approach. Melissa is available to see clients for a wide range of voice disorders.

Today on World Parkinson’s Day, we want to shine a light on the people and families affected by Parkinson’s.

18,000 Australian’s are diagnosed with Parkinson’s each year. This doesn’t only impact the person with Parkinson’s, but their families and loved ones too.

Communication and swallowing are critical to maintaining meaningful relationships - having a coffee catch-up in a cafe, making a phone call and participating in the workforce. Every week in the clinic, we support people experiencing changes to swallowing, reduced voice strength and reduced speech clarity to improve their quality of life and live well with Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s doesn’t need to dull the spark of someone you care for. There is help available and we’d love to help.

Get in touch at [email protected] or give us a call on 08 8472 6123 to get started with support for voice, swallowing and communication.
