Bayside Pharmacy Practice is looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated Casual Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly community team!

📅 The Hours & Availability
* Must be available to work weekends.
* Must have the flexibility to cover annual leave when required.

🎯 What You’ll Bring
* Previous community pharmacy experience is essential.
* Must hold a current S2/S3 Pharmacy Assistant Certification.
* Dispensing experience using Z Dispense is highly beneficial.
* Strong customer service, communication, and point-of-sale skills.
* A friendly, empathetic, and reliable work ethic.

💼 Your Main Responsibilities
* Assisting customers with OTC (Over-The-Counter) health solutions and S2/S3 products.
* Processing sales accurately at the cash register.
* Supporting the dispensary team and pharmacist.
* Unpacking orders, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean, welcoming storefront.

June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s a crucial reminder that early detection saves lives—over 90% of cases can be successfully treated if found early.
Bowel cancer can often develop without any symptoms, making regular testing essential.
🍎Australians aged 45–74 are eligible for a free screening kit.
🍎If you are 50–74, it arrives automatically by mail every two years.
🍎If you are 45–49, you can request your first free kit at the National Cancer Screening Register
🍎If you’re not eligible for the free program or need a replacement quickly, screening kits are available for purchase at Bayside Pharmacy Practice.

While screening is for those without symptoms, you should see a GP immediately if you notice changes like persistent bloating, blood in your stool, or unexplained weight loss.

National Sorry Day remembers and acknowledges the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed from their families and communities.

The first National Sorry Day was held in 1998. It marks the anniversary of the landmark Bringing Them Home report, which was tabled in Federal Parliament on May 26, 1997, after investigating the forced removal of Indigenous children. It marks the start of National Reconciliation Week, which runs annually from May 27 to June 3. This is a time to talk, understand and reflect on past events.
