💚 CELEBRATING OUR PEOPLE | MEET BRUCE!

A big congratulations to Bruce, our Employee of the Month! 👏

Some people just have a way of making the workplace better, and Bruce is certainly one of them!

Reliable, knowledgeable and always willing to lend a hand, Bruce consistently goes above and beyond for the participants he supports and the colleagues he works alongside.

One of the things we value most about Bruce is his genuine commitment to advocating for participants, ensuring their needs, choices and wellbeing are always front and centre.

And of course, we can't forget the good banter! 😄 Bruce brings plenty of humour, positive energy and a friendly attitude to the team, helping create an environment where everyone feels supported and valued.

It's this wonderful combination of experience, compassion, teamwork and personality that makes Bruce such a valued part of Carelink.

**Congratulations, Bruce!** Thank you for everything you bring to our team and the people

💚 WE'RE HIRING | SIL TEAM LEADER – SOUTHERN ADELAIDE

We're looking for a leader who leads by example.
Carelink Support Services is seeking an experienced, compassionate Team Leader to join our Supported Independent Living team in Southern Adelaide.

We want someone who takes pride in their work, leads with confidence and understands that exceptional disability support starts with strong leadership, clear communication and genuine care.

In a shared SIL home providing 24-hour support, you'll support participants, guide staff and maintain high standards.

Who we're looking for:
✔️ Team Leader or supervisory experience, preferably managing and mentoring staff.
✔️ Exceptional reporting and documentation skills, overseeing progress notes, incident reports, shift handovers and team reporting.
✔️ Strong knowledge of NDIS compliance, behaviour support plans and regulated restrictive practice requirements.
✔️ Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, maintaining team accountability.
✔️ Ability to collaborate with Operations and HR teams.
✔️ A confident, proactive approach and commitment to person-centred support.

Rostering and shift coverage experience is advantageous.

This role involves hands-on support within a shared SIL home. In recognition of an individual participant's support needs and expressed preferences, male applicants are particularly encouraged to apply.

Above all, we're seeking someone who builds trust, respects individual choices and creates a supportive environment for participants and colleagues.

The opportunity:
📍 Southern Adelaide
🕒 Up to 76 hours per fortnight
💚 Remuneration considered according to experience and applicable employment arrangements.

Applicants must hold required NDIS screening clearances, relevant checks and current training certifications.

Sound like the right opportunity for you?

We'd love to hear from experienced professionals ready to make a meaningful contribution.

📩 Apply now: Email your resume to Rupinder Kaur, HR & Workforce Adviser, at [email protected]

A familiar logo, with a little more green 💚

This October, we’re giving our Carelink logo a temporary green look to recognise Mental Health Month and encourage conversations about mental wellbeing.

Connection is at the heart of Carelink. That can mean making time to listen, helping someone take part in an activity they enjoy, or simply checking in without rushing the conversation.

Throughout the month, we’ll share practical resources and ideas for supporting our own wellbeing and looking out for one another.

A little connection goes a long way.

We’re always proud of our team, but feedback like this makes it especially meaningful. 💜

Recently, our team received some wonderful feedback from the paramedics involved in a participant’s care, along with the participant’s guardian and next of kin:

“We are so glad to have you on board; you are one of the best care teams we’ve ever seen!”

It’s a lovely recognition of the care, professionalism and dedication our team brings to their work every day.

Behind every positive experience is a team of people who listen, show up, work together and genuinely care about the people they support.

A big well done to the Carelink team involved — and thank you for continuing to represent our values so beautifully. 👏💜

Over the past little while, we’ve been sharing some reminders about mental health, connection, support and the importance of feeling seen.

Because mental health isn’t separate from disability support. It’s part of the whole picture.

For some people, support might look like a conversation. For others, it might be routine, reassurance, quiet space, behaviour support, community connection or simply having someone there who understands how they communicate and what helps them feel safe.

At Carelink Support Services, we believe good support starts with the person in front of us.

That means listening, building trust and providing care that is responsive, respectful and genuinely individual.

And if you or someone you care for is looking for support, we’re here.

Whether you’re navigating the NDIS, looking for the right support team, or simply want to talk through what Carelink may be able to offer, call Carelink today on (08) 7082 0447.

We’d be happy to have a conversation and help you understand what support could look like for you.

Connection can have a powerful impact on wellbeing.

A sense of belonging, shared moments, meaningful activities and safe relationships all play a role in mental health. For people with disability, especially those who may not always express themselves in traditional ways, connection can be built through trust, consistency and understanding.

Real support isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s about meeting people where they are and helping them feel included.

Behind so much good support are carers, family members and support people giving their time, energy and heart.

But carers need support too.

Taking care of your own wellbeing is not selfish, it’s important. Rest, space, understanding and community matter for the people doing the caring just as much as for the people receiving it.

A stronger support network starts with making sure no one is overlooked.

Progress doesn’t always have to be big to be meaningful.

Some days, the small wins are everything - getting out of bed, sticking to a routine, taking a breather, showing up, asking for help, or simply getting through the day.

For many participants, wellbeing is built in the little things. And those little things deserve to be recognised.

Small steps still count. Always.
