If you’re an NDIS participant, save this one. A few things worth remembering:👇🏼

    •    You have choice and control over your supports and providers.
    •    If your circumstances or needs change, you may be able to request a plan review.
    •    Your goals matter, you can ask questions about how your funding is being used.

Your supports should be working with you, not simply being done to you. Save this for later and send it to someone who needs to hear it.

NDIS processes and eligibility can vary depending on individual circumstances.

Just another completely normal day at MB Clinic. And honestly… we wouldn’t have it any other way!

5 things that are actually worth investing in:

    •    🗣️ Speech Therapy
    •    🧩 Occupational Therapy
    •    💚 Behaviour Support
    •    🧠 Psychology
    •    ✨ Building skills that create more independence

Because the goal isn’t simply “more therapy.” It’s building communication, confidence, independence, regulation and everyday skills that can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

The right support can be an investment in so much more than an appointment. It can be an investment in capacity, confidence and quality of life.

A little NDIS tip you might not know about…👀

We have a range of Visual Supports For Kids books available in the clinic, and depending on your individual NDIS plan and circumstances, they’re claimable.

These resources can be a great addition to the work happening in therapy and at home. Not sure whether they’re suitable for you or how claiming works? Ask our team, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.

ADHD: What people think it is vs. what it can actually look like.

In this video, Jess breaks down some of the common misconceptions around ADHD and what we should understand instead.

ADHD is far more complex than simply “not being able to concentrate.”

Because the more we understand, the better we can support✨

A little look around the space where the big conversations, small wins, messy play, new skills and “wait… they actually did it!” moments happen!

Because therapy isn’t just about the appointment. It’s about creating a space where people feel safe, supported and understood.

What is stimming? 🧠💚

For many autistic people, these are repetitive movements, sounds or actions can help with emotional regulation, sensory input and managing overwhelming environments.

Stimming isn’t something that always needs to be stopped. Stimming, or self-stimulatory behaviour, can look like hand flapping, rocking, humming, repeating words, watching things spin or chewing.

The important question isn’t always “How do we stop it?” Sometimes it’s “What is this person communicating or regulating through their stimming?”

Every person is different, and not every stim needs to be reduced or redirected!

R U OK? 💛

Today is a reminder to check in with the people around you, your friends, family, colleagues and even yourself. You don’t need to have the perfect words or all the answers. Simply listening, being present and letting someone know you care can make a meaningful difference.

And if you or someone you know needs a little extra support, you don’t have to navigate it alone. At The Mind & Behaviour Clinic, our multidisciplinary allied health team is here to support individuals and families with personalised care across a range of needs.

Let’s keep the conversation going, today and every day!
