Our teams have been busy out in the community, already attending several events this year, including the Baw Baw Job Expo, Latrobe Valley Job Expo in Moe, and the Lardner Park Garden + Home Expo. Congratulations to Michael from Boolarra for winning our Garden Makeover giveaway at the Lardner Park expo! 🌿🏡

✨ We've been keeping an exciting secret... introducing our brand-new Program Delivery Hub at Boronia Mall! 🎉

We wanted a space that could better support our School Leavers Program, with easy access to public transport, shops and the local community. We're thrilled to see this vision come to life and can't wait to welcome clients into this bright new space.

Transforming the hub was no small task, and there are some special people we'd like to thank. 👏

A huge thank you to Darren and the team at Timbarra Constructions, and Amir and the team at Ace Art Painting & Decoration, for going above and beyond to help bring this space to life.

📅 Services at the Program Delivery Hub will commence from Monday 26 October.

As part of the Brushstrokes group support program, and with support from staff member Kairen, clients Peter, Gavin, Kaitlyn and James worked together on a collaborative painting. 🎨

The project began with each client creating a practice painting of a bird before contributing to the main artwork week by week. Along the bottom of the finished piece is the message: 'Diversity is the foundation of creativity'. ❤️

Safe to say, we're very impressed! Well done to everyone involved in this beautiful artwork. It's a fantastic example of creativity and teamwork. 👏 🎉

🧗 There were plenty of smiles when a group from our School Leavers Program recently tackled an indoor rock-climbing adventure!

Through School Leavers, participants build practical skills, confidence and independence through a range of activities, community experiences and social connections.

This month, we're recognising Mike, the Manager of Design + Pathways at Knoxbrooke.

In his role, Mike makes sure that the programs and activities we offer are exciting, engaging, practical and genuinely inclusive. He’s always looking for new and creative ways to improve our services. ⭐

Earlier this month, it was R U OK? Day. This annual event reminds us to check in with others and start meaningful conversations about mental health and wellbeing. While it's held on the second Thursday of September each year, any day is a good day to ask someone, "R U OK?"

Sometimes, when we're not feeling our best, it can be hard to think of the little things that might help brighten our day. That's why we invited the Knoxbrooke community to take part in a Post-It Project for R U OK? Day and share what has helped them through challenging times.

We're sharing some of the common ideas with you. You might even discover something you'd like to try the next time you need a little boost.
