As the owner and custodian of Yulo Kopa, it’s lovely to see our accommodation featured in Australian Traveller.
Writer Julie Ihle’s visit brought together two parts of my life that are closely connected: caring for this place and my work in Buddhist counselling.
Both share an intention to create space for people to pause, feel supported and reconnect with themselves. Through Buddhist counselling, I support people to explore their experiences with awareness and compassion. At Yulo Kopa, the rainforest, meditation and quiet moments offer space to slow down and reflect.
It means a great deal to see Julie capture something of that spirit, from welcome chai on the deck to a forest-bathing walk beneath the canopy.
Thank you, Julie, for sharing Yulo Kopa and celebrating the beautiful Port Macquarie hinterland.
