🌿 KUCARE IS HIRING – SUPPORT WORKERS

Female Support Workers – Small 2–3 Person Team

KuCare is looking for 2–3 reliable and compassionate female Support Workers to form a consistent support team for a paraplegic participant requiring morning personal care and daily living support.

We are seeking workers who understand that great support is not just about completing tasks it is about listening, building trust and supporting the participant according to their preferences and choices.

💙 Key Support Activities

Support may include:

* Assisting with getting out of bed and morning routines
* Bed mobility and repositioning
* Showering and personal hygiene
* Dressing and grooming
* Breakfast preparation and support
* Hoist transfers
* Transfer from bed/shower equipment to mobility chair
* Safe positioning and use of mobility equipment
* Supporting independence and choice throughout the routine

🌟 What We’re Looking For

The most important quality we are looking for is **excellent listening skills**.

The ideal support worker will:

✔️ Listen carefully to the participant and understand their preferences
✔️ Communicate respectfully and clearly
✔️ Be patient and allow the participant time to communicate
✔️ Ask questions rather than make assumptions
✔️ Respect privacy, dignity and personal boundaries
✔️ Follow the participant’s established routines and care plans
✔️ Encourage independence rather than taking over
✔️ Be reliable and consistent
✔️ Be calm, friendly and professional
✔️ Be comfortable providing personal care
✔️ Be competent or willing to complete training in hoist transfers and manual handling
✔️ Have experience supporting people with physical disabilities or paraplegia

KuCare is aiming to establish a **consistent 2–3 person female support team** so the participant can become familiar and comfortable with their support workers.

Consistency, trust and good communication are important to us.

📋 Requirements

Applicants should have:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check/Blue Card where applicable
- First Aid & CPR
- Relevant support work experience
- Manual handling experience/training
- Hoist-transfer experience is highly desirable
- Ability to follow individualized support and manual-handling plans
- Valid driver's license preferred
