I WORE BALLOONS AS B***S IN PUBLIC
So imagine what didn’t make the cut 😂
Welcome to the Frocktober 2026 behind the scenes & reject rack
The lime-green number: when the dress code says formal but you’re a highlighter
The red ruffles: I went in for a dress and came out available for children’s parties as a human car wash 🚗🚿
The silver ensemble: apparently I was expecting to inherit a fancy cruise ship 🛳
The cream one-sleeved number: when you can’t decide between a safari or a trip on your cruise ship, so you book both on the same dress.
The black-and-lime leaves: for when you get drunk & pass out in the garden. They’ll find you when they start trimming
The blue chevron number: please keep two chevrons apart. Even the dress wanted some distance. 🔰
Some dresses were too big or small. One zip got halfway up & decided it had supported this charity enough
And, some were just FUGLY! I tried them on anyway. We’ve all established my judgement was under pressure
Somehow I ended up with a "special effects" department.
Wigs, Sports socks. Fluffy bed socks. Balloons 🎈
My chest nearly had more outfit changes than I had dresses
I may or may not have tried actual ovarian cancer ribbons as earrings. Apparently raising awareness wasn’t enough. I needed to become the information stand 🤨
Whether every prototype left the house is strictly between me & the Woolies security cameras 📸
Special shout outs to… Mr Potato Head, who travelled to the Sunshine Coast to help Bo Peep find her sheep. Safest passenger on the road. Even the driver had aftermarket airbags 🤷♀️
And finally Mr Mac, my walking buddy who wore his bandanas & somehow emerged as the only one with his dignity intact
All for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF), please tell me the researchers aren’t getting their equipment from the same place I got mine?
Which dress do you actually like and think I should’ve worn?
