🌸 WE’RE HIRING – SUPPORT WORKER | BROWNS PLAINS, QLD 🌸

Blossom Care Support Services is seeking a reliable, proactive and experienced Disability Support Worker to support a participant located in Browns Plains, Brisbane.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, organised, patient and enjoys engaging in meaningful conversations.

👤 About the Participant

The participant lives with OCD and ADHD and is highly intellectual, enjoys stimulating conversations, intellectual debates and discussing a wide range of topics.

We are seeking someone who can build a genuine professional rapport while providing practical assistance around the home.

🛠️ Ideal Candidate

✅ Experience supporting individuals with OCD, ADHD and complex mental health needs.

✅ Knowledge or experience in hoarding environments, decluttering, organising and packing belongings.

✅ Comfortable using and identifying basic tools and assisting with practical household tasks.

✅ Physically capable of assisting with packing, sorting and organising items safely.

✅ Patient, non-judgemental and trauma-informed.

✅ Strong communication skills and enjoys intellectual discussions and debates.

✅ Able to take initiative while respecting participant choice, independence and personal boundaries.

✅ Reliable, professional and committed to providing consistent support.

📋 Key Responsibilities

* Supporting the participant with household organisation and decluttering.
* Assisting with packing, sorting and organising personal belongings.
* Providing practical assistance with household tasks.
* Supporting daily living activities and maintaining a safe environment.
* Encouraging independence and working towards the participant’s NDIS goals.
* Building positive rapport through meaningful conversations and shared interests.
