Can a Mediterranean-style diet be linked with lower stress and anxiety?

In this SBS Arabic interview, I joined George Gharam on Under the Microscope to discuss research examining Mediterranean-style eating and symptoms of stress and anxiety in older Australians.

We talk about what the research found, its limitations, and practical topics including fruit and vegetables, wholegrains, nuts and legumes, healthier fats, sleep, physical activity, gut health and healthy ageing.

Importantly, this type of research shows an association rather than proving cause and effect.

Thank you, Lions Club of Burwood–Strathfield.

I was honoured to volunteer as a guest speaker at the Diabetes Awareness Forum (Woodstock Community Centre, Burwood) and to receive this Certificate of Appreciation.

My session focused on real-world nutrition for diabetes: building a steadier plate, making small swaps, and reviewing progress without overwhelm.
