🌟 A Flourish in Life NQ Amazing News Story🌟
Around 12 months ago, we started supporting Darren one of our participants who had recently moved out of his parents’ home and was determined to make some big changes in his life.
The first goal was getting his driver’s licence — and after plenty of persistence, it was 5th time lucky! 🚗✅
Next came an even bigger challenge: finding a job.
Together with his Flourish support worker, Ian, he went from garage to garage looking for an opportunity. There were plenty of knock-backs and rejections along the way, but he didn’t give up.
He simply wanted someone to give him a chance. He was even willing to offer his time for free so an employer could see what he was capable of.
Eventually, someone gave him that opportunity.
After completing a few weeks of work experience at a local smash repair garage, his commitment and hard work paid off — he has now been offered a full-time job! 👏🔧
And today, the story got even better…
He moved into his very own place. 🏠
Seeing the excitement on his face as he realised he now has somewhere of his own to call home was pretty special — even if there were a few nerves mixed in as well!
Over the past 12 months, both Darren and Ian have faced plenty of setbacks, rejections and challenges. They kept working towards the goals that mattered to him, one step at a time.

We couldn’t be prouder of what he has achieved and the support Ian has provided along the way has been phenomenal.
For us, this is what meaningful NDIS support can look like — supporting people to build skills, independence and confidence to work towards the life they choose. 💚
