SDA vacancy in Kanimbla, Cairns

We have one vacancy in a 1 bedroom villa in Kanimbla, built to High Physical Support (HPS) standard. Vera Living is the SDA provider, and Select Support Services is the onsite support provider.

The villa has:
• A spacious participant bedroom with a private ensuite and ceiling hoist provisions
• A carer's or multipurpose room
• Open plan living, dining and kitchen, with an adjustable kitchen bench
• Assistive technology throughout
• High-end appliances, including a washing machine, dryer, oven and dishwasher
• A private, spacious courtyard with an accessible clothesline
• A separate carer's villa onsite

Wanted: are you expert in Shiftcare and can help us to streamline and tidy up? The helpline is good with Shiftcare, but we need someone on site for up to 16hours to assist us. We are unable to offer this remotely, need to be Cairns or Tablelands based. Please reach out if you are able to assist. Community has always been at the heart of what we do.

Over the past five years, we've been proud to support a number of incredible local organisations and initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of people across our region.

Our contributions have included:
🫶Supporting the Hambledon House Community Centre Food Pantry to help individuals and families experiencing hardship.

🫶Donating toFall Foward Christmas Appeal to help bring a little extra joy to those doing it tough over the festive season.

🫶Supporting the Queensland Police Legacy / Police Fund for the past three years, helping provide opportunities and support for at risk and vulnerable young people.

🫶Making a financial contribution to Stray to Stay, assisting their important work in caring for and rehoming animals in need.

🫶We're also excited to be exploring our next contribution with the Atherton Enhancement Group - AEG by supporting them to purchase plants from Old Kulara Nursery that will make Atherton an even more beautiful place to live.

As an NDIS provider, supporting people extends beyond the services we deliver. We believe in giving back to the communities that support us and helping create positive change wherever we can.
