Hey guys, Mark Montaj here! 🙌

What a way to kick off another beautiful day in !

Meet James, all the way from , visiting our tropical backyard with the St Marys U13s footy team! 🏉 (hope I got that right)🤞

As I was walking into MontajMovement Studio this morning, I spotted James outside having a good look through our studio window.

Naturally, I welcomed him in!

Turns out, our MVMNT studio shirts had caught his attention. A little chat, a few laughs, and next thing you know, James is walking out with not one, but TWO shirts to take home! 😂🔥

BROTHER🙌, you genuinely made my morning!

Here's what I love about moments like this.

You don't have to be tattooed by us to be part of our MVMNT.

Whether you're a client, an artist, a supporter or someone simply passing through, wearing our shirt represents more than a studio logo.

It represents the mindset, the people and the culture we're working hard to build.

And seeing someone from the other side of the country connect with that, without ever sitting in our tattoo chair, means a lot.

James, thanks for the support, brother! Wishing you and the St Marys an awesome time here in Cairns. Wear those shirts proudly! 🙌

Post card from ARTIST Mark Montaj 🙌 -

With MontajMovement Studio closed for a long weekend, Mark Montaj and his family took the opportunity to head somewhere a little different —

from Cairns to Pormpuraaw.

A small community up north that many of us may never have had the opportunity to visit, or perhaps even heard much about. If you have, let us know your experience.
For Mark, there was something valuable about taking his family beyond what they know and experiencing another part of the region they call home.

Even the drive brought back memories of his own experiences growing up in the Northern Territory.
The family got amongst the local rodeo and were lucky enough to be invited to a private croc farm — and according to Mark, these crocs definitely move a little different to the ones at Hartley’s 😂🐊.
But one of the more meaningful moments came when Mark and his son had the opportunity to volunteer and hand out food packs to some of the elderly people within the community.

It was only a small contribution, and Mark knows a moment like that isn't going to change a community.
But hopefully, the experience created a little change in his son.

An opportunity to understand the value of giving some of your time, meeting people outside of what you know, experiencing another way of life and appreciating what exists beyond your own little bubble.

So far, Pormpuraaw has given the Montaj family an experience they’ll remember ..its own beauty, its own challenges and its own story.
A chance to switch off from the studio, spend time together and experience another part of North Queensland.

Sometimes a long weekend away gives you more than just a break. 🖤

✖️ A LITTLE MVMNT BREAK ✖️

Just a heads-up to our amazing clients and community — MontajMovement Studio will be closed from the 25th–28th of September, giving our team a few days to switch off,
recharge and enjoy some well-earned time away from the studio. 🖤 (Back to normal TUESDAY)

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we take a little breather.

Our messages are still open, so please feel free to leave us any booking questions or enquiries during the break. We'll get back to everyone as soon as we're back on deck.

Thank you for continuing to support our artists, our studio and our MVMNT.

See you when we’re recharged. ✖️

✖️ A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO VIP LIZ ✖️

The team at had the pleasure of taking a little break, sharing some laughs and celebrating one of the most supportive — and definitely one of the most decorated — canvases to walk through our studio. 😂

We hope we made your day a memorable one, Liz Brown .

Over a decade, you’ve somehow earned yourself the name “VIP Liz” — and it’s not just because you’ve been coming in almost every year. 😂

It’s the energy you bring with you.

You’ve always had a way of treating myself ( Mark Montaj ) and the whole team like we’re the VIPs. You walk into our space with positivity, support and a genuine appreciation for what we do — and that energy has helped light up the studio more times than you probably realise.

For someone who has given that much support to us and our MVMNT over the years, the least we could do was stop, share a smile and make sure you felt some of that appreciation back.

Clients like you become more than appointments in the calendar. You become part of the story, the memories and the culture we’ve built inside these walls.

We hope every artist gets to experience clients like you.

Happy Birthday VIP Liz. 🖤
We appreciate you more than you know.
