Hi friends and followers,

Although I’ve decided it’s time to hang up my yoga teaching mat, this has been something I’ve been contemplating for a while. While one chapter is coming to a close, there are other things quietly in the pipeline, and I’m looking forward to exploring some new creative directions.

So stay tuned, as this isn’t the end of my journey, just the beginning of something new! 🌿✨

🌿 A Little Change of Direction 🌿

After nearly 9½ wonderful years, I’ve made the decision to bring my yoga teaching chapter to a close.

It has been a privilege to share yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, meditation and sound with so many lovely people over the years. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has joined me along the way, for your commitment, your support and the time we’ve shared together.

Every chapter of life has its season, and I feel that this one has naturally come to its conclusion. It’s now time for myself and Col to step into a new chapter, explore our own creativity and make space for some different passions and interests.

While it’s a little bittersweet to say goodbye to teaching, I’m also looking forward to embracing this next phase of life and discovering where it leads.

Thank you to each and every one of you who has been part of my yoga journey. Your support has meant a great deal to me, and I’ll always look back on these years with fondness and gratitude. 💚

With love and heartfelt thanks.

It’s lovely to see one of our regular yoga ladies putting her hand up once again to serve our community, this time seeking re-election to Council and also putting herself forward as a candidate for Mayor. 🌿

Whatever the outcome, I think it’s wonderful to see people who are already actively involved in their community willing to step forward, contribute their time and take on the responsibility of public service.

And before anyone says, “But yoga shouldn’t be political…” — I agree that our yoga space is not the place for political debate or persuasion. But yoga is also about awareness, connection, compassion and being part of the community we live in. Acknowledging someone’s willingness to serve that community doesn’t have to be about taking sides or promoting a particular viewpoint — sometimes it’s simply about recognising the courage it takes to put your hand up and participate.

Wishing Leanne all the very best for the journey ahead. 🧘‍♀️🌿

One thing experience has taught me is that the bigger the decision, the more important it is to do the work first.
Read. Ask questions. Listen to different perspectives. Look at the evidence. And sometimes, give yourself permission to say, “I need to understand more before I decide.”
I've never seen that as indecision. I see it as responsibility.
Some decisions deserve time.

Yesterday, at 10:30am, the wind was blowing strong, carrying our worries away and giving us something to focus on as we settled into class and listened to the sounds of nature around us.

Inside the yurt, the air was cosy and warm. Ninety minutes later, we emerged feeling completely relaxed, re-energised and, for a little while at least, without a care in the world. 🤍

Can you believe we get to do this every Wednesday?

We give ourselves permission to embody the tortoise — slow, deliberate and with nowhere else to be. 🐢

Just breathe.
Just be.
And let the world wait. 🌿

Classes resume Wednesday, August 26th, 10:30am.

When we feel safe, connected and free to be ourselves, something begins to soften within us.

We breathe a little deeper. We feel a little lighter. We begin to thrive.
And when we thrive, the world around us feels it too.

Perhaps this is where change begins — with each of us. 🤍🌿🌼

Recently we returned home after a lovely mid-winter escape to beautiful Yeppoon in Central Queensland. Unfortunately, we also returned home feeling quite unwell, so I’ve decided to take the month of August off to see winter out and enjoy a gentle home-based retreat.

Our time away was filled with wonderful experiences—meeting new friends, playing plenty of fun and competitive pickleball, bringing home a couple of medals, and creating many special memories along the way.

For now, I’m embracing the slower pace of winter, allowing time to rest, restore and simply be.

If the weather begins to warm before the end of August, yoga classes may resume a little earlier, so keep an eye on this page for updates.

Wishing you all a peaceful and cosy winter. 🤍

A rainy Wednesday invitation… 🌧️🧘‍♀️

When the world outside is quiet and the rain gently falls, there is a beautiful opportunity to turn inward.

Inside the warmth of the yurt, we listen…
to the river flowing beside us,
to the birds singing their own unique song,
and to the gentle rhythm of our own breath.

The river carries away what we no longer need,
the sounds of nature remind us to slow down,
and in the stillness we reconnect with the wisdom within.

This is an invitation in…
a moment each Wednesday to pause, breathe, move and be held by nature.

Come and share this peaceful space with me tomorrow — where yoga meets the soothing embrace of the natural world. 🌿

“Sometimes the rain makes the yurt feel even more magical…” 💛

🌿🧘‍♀️✨ International Day of Yoga — 21 June 2026 ✨🧘‍♀️🌿

This year’s theme is “Yoga for Healthy Ageing” — and I couldn’t think of a more beautiful reminder that yoga truly is a lifelong companion. 🙏🌸💖

As I approach life each year, I feel more grateful than ever for the gifts yoga has given me — strength, balance, flexibility, mindfulness, resilience, and the ability to meet each season of life with more grace.

Yoga is not about chasing youth… it is about honouring the body we have, nurturing our wellbeing, and continuing to move with awareness, dignity and joy.

To all the beautiful women who join me on the mat — especially those in their wonderful silver years — thank you for inspiring me with your courage, curiosity and commitment to caring for yourselves. 💛

May we continue to breathe deeply, move gently, stand tall and embrace every stage of this incredible journey.

Happy International Day of Yoga 🌿🧘‍♀️✨

“What if the deepest peace you’ve been seeking isn’t found in escaping life… but in slowing down enough to listen to it?

Here, on the banks of the beautiful Inglis River, tall majestic trees and constant birdsong, we practice yoga in a cosy yurt every Wednesday 10:30 am – 12 noon.

No rush, no screens, no noise—just your mat, your breath, and the natural world breathing with you.

Off-grid and private, it’s a rare pocket of stillness in our busy world.

New to the group? You’re especially welcome. We move gently, with modifications and kindness for every body.

Come rediscover what it feels like to simply be here.

Message me to say hello or secure your spot— the river is flowing, waiting for you. 🌊🧘‍♀️🌳
