Em Matcha will be with us from 8am-12pm on Saturday 31st October for our Breast Cancer Fundraiser!

Join a morning class, attend our talk at 9.45am, or simply pop by to say hello. The matcha and good vibes will be flowing! 🙌🌱

As a medical practice, it is our mission to improve the lives and health our community. With a particular focus on Women’s Health, our focus this month is raising critical funds to support Breast Cancer research and care 🎀

With 1 in 7 women being diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime, this is something we all need to be talking about.

Join us at our fundraiser on the 31st October in Barton, buy a raffle ticket, or donate what you can at the link in our bio 💕 every little helps!

For the record, our fundraiser will be a day of empowerment, connection and spirit!!! We have classes, DJs, Matcha, stalls and a tonne of prizes to be won! Come along, get involved, help us make a difference!

Our schedule for our 2026 Breast Cancer Fundraiser is live!!! 🎉💕🎀

We will be offering a range of our signature classes on the morning of the 31st of October! At just $25 per class, all proceeds will be going directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to support their incredible work in the fight against breast cancer.

We will also be partnering with some amazing local businesses to offer a range of stalls, snacks, entertainment, and raffle prizes worth over $750! Purchase a $10 ticket, sign up to a class or simply stop by on the day to say hello ☺️ Every little helps to raise funds for a great cause!

Breast cancer affects thousands of Australians every year. In support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and their important work to beat breast cancer, Sound CBR will be hosting a fundraiser!

Ever heard of Exercise Physiology?

Whilst it’s lesser well-known than Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology has been around for 50 years and offers fantastic benefits for people looking for long-term chronic disease management, fitness goals, or supervised, movement based therapy.

As EPs with a special interest in women’s health, the practitioners at Sound CBR can also tailor a goal-focused program for any level, whilst protecting and strengthening your pelvic floor.

We accept a variety of claims in-practice, including NDIS, third party insurance and Chronic Disease Management Plans. All appointments are also claimable with private health.

We love a good Pilates humble 💕

We had the pleasure of hosting a Mat Pilates class for the incredible Canberra Netball Association (CNA) Men’s State League team last week and Corina put them through their paces (as usual). Working smaller muscle groups might be challenging, but it has serious benefits, for both athletes and those of us trying to keep our bodies healthy. These guys smashed it!

We are hosting an event! 🗓️

Join us on the 22nd July at Sound CBR in Barton, ACT for an evening of education and illumination!

This is a talk for every woman, from 20+, who wants to learn more about their body and how we can improve our overall health through exercise. The talk will cover the importance of Bone Density, from adolescence to menopause and how our everyday habits can dictate our quality of life as we age.

If you are a woman from 20 years of age or above who wants to gain control of their health and fitness, and maximise their quality of life, this talk is for you. 💪

*We appreciate there is an overwhelming amount of content out there covering women’s health and that it can sometimes be hard to know who to trust. That is why we are dedicated to bringing information to our community that is based on clinical research and lead by an experienced allied health team. Let us cut through the noise and give you the information really you need!

We are excited to partner with LSKD for the evening. Refreshments and goody bags will be provided and there will be time for individual questions and socialising at the end 😊

We know what you’re thinking, talking about perimenopause in your 20s is way too early, right?! Well… maybe not.

Did you know that the habits you incorporate in your 20s and 30s can have a MAJOR impact on your quality of life from Perimenopause (which can start as early as 35) all the way through to your later years?! Studies show that building strength and muscle mass early on can help us manage hormonal symptoms and make our lives a lot easier as we undergo this big life shift.

If this is news to you, you aren’t alone! As is often the case in Women’s Health, this is a topic that is not widely discussed, but is something that will affect the majority of us in our lifetime.

At SoundCBR we believe knowledge is power, which is why we think it is so important to share this information with our community. So if you are in your 20s, or 30s, or you know someone who needs to hear this, share it and get the conversation started!

If you live in Canberra and want to learn more about these hormonal shifts and building strength in detail, attend our Educational Event on 22nd July 2026 here at SoundCBR in Barton.
