The Happy Human Hub

Where Happy Humans Hang Out! We are a disability support provider in Lake Macquarie, NSW.

We believe that our school aged children and young adults with disabilities need constant interaction and communication with their peers, those of similar age and interests, to build and form friendships and life skills. Our goal is to commence social programs for school aged children and continue supporting their development and independence when they leave school. Our team at The Happy Human Hub have found that participants who choose to include educational games and programs integrated into their daily program, are continuing to show improvement in all areas including development in speech and communication, physical, tactile, gross and fine motor skills. We have chosen ‘fun, interactive’ ways to support continuous learning in all aspects of the participant’s plan, including physical activities, improve independence, edu-tainment, community access and social activities.

Our Saturday Social program is all about getting out into the community, making new friends, trying exciting activities and creating memories that last! 🫶✨

From exploring local attractions and visiting animal parks to bowling, fun-filled adventures, special events and relaxed days out, there’s always something exciting on the calendar! 🐨🎳🎢🍦

Whether your Happy Human loves a big adventure or simply enjoys spending time with others, we’re all about creating opportunities to build confidence, develop social connections and enjoy the things that make life fun! 🥰

Another week of fun, friendship, learning and getting out into the community with our amazing Happy Humans! 🥰✨

From building strength and wellbeing to enjoying friendly competition at Timezone, there’s always something happening at the Hub!

💪 STRENGTH & WELLNESS WEDNESDAY
A big shout-out to our amazing PT Kiara from Let’s Move Lake Mac! 🏋️‍♀️💙 Our Happy Humans have been working on their physical wellbeing, building strength, improving confidence and having fun along the way!

🎮 FRIDAY FREESTYLE
Our group headed to Timezone for an afternoon of games, laughs and friendly competition! 🕹️🥳 Friday Freestyle is all about giving participants the opportunity to choose how they spend their day and enjoy activities they love.

✨ WHAT DOES A WEEK AT SOCIAL DYNAMIC DEVELOPMENT LOOK LIKE?

💃 Monday – Move & Groove: Dance fitness, movement, learning routines and building confidence through music and dance.

👩‍🍳 Tuesday – Cooking Club: Developing everyday living skills through meal preparation, trying new recipes, grocery shopping and learning about food and budgeting.

💪 Wednesday – Strength & Wellness: Working on physical and emotional wellbeing through fitness, yoga, stretching, mindfulness and activities that support a healthy lifestyle.

🏃 Thursday – Social Active: Keeping active through fortnightly boxing sessions with our qualified PT and fun community-based activities on alternate weeks.

🎉 Friday – Friday Freestyle: Participants help choose how they spend their day, from games and activities at the Hub to exciting community outings.

Our program is about so much more than activities. It’s about building confidence, developing independence, strengthening friendships and creating opportunities for our Happy Humans to thrive! 🫶🌈
