At Sydney Psych Hub we are passionate about supporting kids, young people, and families as they navigate life’s challenges.

We offer a range of services, including individual therapy, family therapy, psychometric assessments (e.g. ADHD), and psychiatry support. Our team works collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to support emotional wellbeing, learning, relationships, and everyday functioning.

Where helpful, we involve parents and caregivers to help families better understand their child’s needs, strengthen communication, and build practical supports together.

How do I know my child is ready to leave the house on their own?

How do I know my child is ready to leave the house on their own?

As children get older they start wanting more independence. But how do you know when they are ready to go somewhere without adult supervision?

When a child is having frequent meltdowns, becoming angry, withdrawing, refusing school or struggling with everyday routines, it can be easy to focus on the behaviour itself.

But sometimes, that behaviour is their way of saying:
πŸ’™ I’m overwhelmed.
πŸ’™ I’m worried.
πŸ’™ I don’t know how to explain what I’m feeling.
πŸ’™ Something feels too hard right now.

Children don’t always have the words to tell us what’s going on.
At Sydney Psych Hub, our psychologists help children and families to understand what may be behind challenging behaviours and develop practical strategies to support emotional regulation, confidence and wellbeing.

Early support can make a meaningful difference, not only for the child, but for the whole family.

✨ We were honoured to be selected as finalists in the Women’s Business Awards and to celebrate alongside so many inspiring women and businesses. It was a wonderful evening recognising the passion, courage and hard work behind female-led businesses across Australia. πŸ’•

While we did not take home an award, we are incredibly proud of how far Sydney Psych Hub has come. From two psychologists with a shared vision to the values-led team of passionate psychologists we are today.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful team, our clients, community partners, and everyone who has supported us along the way. πŸ’

We are so grateful to be part of such an inspiring community. πŸ’™βœ¨
