🚨 HEALTH ALERT – ANDROGRAPHIS UPDATE! 🚨
💙 We've loved Andrographis for years!
It's been a popular herbal ingredient in cold, flu and immune support products, and one we've recommended for many years.
BUT… there's an important safety update we need to share!
⚠️ Reports of serious allergic reactions, including potentially life-threatening anaphylaxis, have prompted the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to take action.
Even more concerning? These reactions can happen suddenly, even if you've taken Andrographis safely before!
🚫 From 17 September 2026, Andrographis is no longer permitted in new listed medicines in Australia.
Some existing products are also being recalled.
💊 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
✅ Check your cold, flu and immune supplements for Andrographis.
✅ Check the TGA recall list before using your product.
✅ Pop into Coorparoo Discount Pharmacy if you're unsure.
✅ Chat with our pharmacists about suitable alternatives.
💙 We may have loved an ingredient for years, but when new safety evidence emerges, our advice needs to change too.
Because at Coorparoo Discount Pharmacy, your safety always comes first!
📍 Coorparoo Discount Pharmacy 💙 The right advice. The right product. Every time.
🔁 SHARE THIS POST! Someone you know might have an affected product sitting in their medicine cupboard.

Coorparoo, you rolled up your sleeves, and it shows!

The 2026 Queensland flu vaccination numbers are in, and community pharmacy is stronger than ever:

🙏1,741,320 flu vaccines given across Queensland
🙏549,990 of those given in community pharmacies, up 4.09% on 2025
🙏31.58%: almost 1 in 3 Queensland flu vaccines now happens at a local pharmacy
🙏4 years in a row of flu vaccination growth for community pharmacy

While total flu vaccinations across the state dipped slightly (down 0.35%), more Queenslanders than ever chose their local pharmacy. That’s quick, convenient, expert care, close to home.

A big thank you to every patient who trusted our team at Coorparoo Discount Pharmacy with their flu shot this year, and to our amazing pharmacy team for keeping our community protected.

Flu season isn’t the only reason to visit. We also offer vaccinations, pharmacist consults, MedsChecks and Webster packs, all with the right advice at the right price.
