📣 Calling all multicultural food trucks, food stalls and organisations working with CALD communities, we want you at 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁!

DiversConnect: Building Capacity Across Cultures is a 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 one-day family fun day for CALD communities and the organisations that work alongside them, brought to Beenleigh by ECCQ - Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland and Diversabilities

Expect kids' activities, multicultural food and performances, alongside community conversations on equal access to support.

🍽️ We'd love the food to look like Logan: Afghan, Middle Eastern, Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Fijian, Burmese, and whatever else you're cooking up!

We're expecting 200 people!

🚚 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘀 & 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀: 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. Bring your own power, water, bins and a drip tray, plus a current food licence and public liability.

El 25 de octubre, a la 1:30 pm, nos reunimos en el 28 Chalk Street, Lutwyche, para hablar del NDIS en español: tus derechos, cómo acceder al apoyo, y qué es DiversAbilities. Es gratis y abierto a toda la comunidad.

On Friday 9 October we joined the South East Volunteers Chinese Seniors Social Support Group at Glen Waverley Bowl Club for a Community Conversations Session on the NDIS as a part of Peer Support and Capacity Building (PSCB)

We talked about what support is available, who can access it and how to get started. The group brought great questions, and we finished the day together over a home-style Chinese lunch.

Thank you to Mei and Lisa at SEV for welcoming us and helping with translation, and to Bitely for the delicious food and for capturing the day on video. Most of all, thank you to everyone who came along and joined the conversation.

Calling all organisations working with CALD communities!

We're co-hosting DiversConnect: Building Capacity Across Cultures with ECCQ - Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland, and expressions of interest are open now.

Saturday 28 November 2026
10am to 2pm
Beenleigh Town Square, 1 Kent Street, Beenleigh
Logan City Council

Free, all ages.

A free, family fun day with activities for kids, multicultural food and performances.

Community Conversations run through the day too, around capacity for individuals, for older people and their families, and for whole communities. What one person learns travels to whoever needs it next.

Booths are free, and so are the food stalls. If you run a cultural food truck or food stall, we want you there too!
