Simplicity and rest! https://mimbeim.com/life/convalescing-a-lost-art-2 With a recent sinus congestion and irritated lungs I can so vouch for Mullein leaf tea!

Convalesce. ‘To recover health and strength gradually after sickness or weakness’. From the Latin ‘valere’, meaning strong or healthy. Back in the day, after an illness or setback, you were sent to the seaside to sit overlooking the waves, a crocheted rug warming your knees, a novel to read,...

Love seeing Countries taking this approach. El Salvador President Nayib Bukele shared a new ad campaign Monday which encourages people to exercise, eat healthy foods and maintain a healthy weight in order to reduce their risk of getting severe diseases.

Happiness truely comes from how we feel on the inside.

We all have a propensity to associate an external thing that ‘happens to us’ by making an internal chemical change (an emotion). We feel whole after we heal; we feel wealthy after we see our bank account grow; we feel happy after we receive some good news.

When we finally realize that we can change our internal chemistry at will without waiting for something outside of us to change, we step into the role of creators of our life—who we really are. In order to produce an emotion by thought alone, without relying on any external circumstance or thing, we have to go inward and practice feeling and remembering that emotion so that we can live by it during our waking day. This work is about learning and remembering, which leads to becoming.

'Reconditioning the Body to a New Mind' is a great meditation to reprogram our memorized emotions into elevated emotions. Click here for more details: https://hubs.la/Q011gT5w0

Emotions like gratitude and appreciation open our heart and lift the energy in our body, out of the lower hormonal centers. Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions for increasing our level of suggestibility. It teaches our body emotionally that the event we’re grateful for has already happened, since we typically give thanks after a desirable event—not before.

If we start bringing up the emotion of gratitude before the actual event, our body (as the unconscious mind) will begin to believe that the future event has indeed already happened—or is happening to us in the present moment. Gratitude, therefore, is the ultimate state of receivership.

If we can bring up the emotion of appreciation or thankfulness, and combine it with a clear intention, we’re now beginning to embody the event emotionally. We’re changing our brain and body. Specifically, we’re chemically instructing our body to know what our mind has philosophically known. We could say that we’re in a new future in the present moment. We’re no longer using familiar, primitive emotions to keep us anchored to the past; we’re now using elevated emotions to drive us into a new future.

Our genes are as changeable as our brains. The latest research in genetics shows that different genes are activated at different times—they are always in flux and being influenced. There are experience-dependent genes that are activated when there is growth, healing, or learning: and there are behavioral-state-dependent genes that are influenced during stress, emotional arousal, or dreaming.

One of the most active areas of research today is epigenetics, the study of how the environment controls gene activity. Epigenetics empowers us to think about change more profoundly. The epigenetic paradigm shift gives us free will to activate our own gene activity and modify our genetic destiny.

Just by changing our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and emotional reactions we send our cells new signals, and they express new proteins without changing the genetic blueprint. So, while the DNA code stays the same, once a cell is activated in a new way by new information, the cell can create thousands of variations of the same gene. We can signal our genes to rewrite our future.

What future are you rewriting at the moment? Comment below.

Support your lymph system with a clean diet and it will support you!

The lymphatic system helps the body's immune system work properly. It serves as the first line of defense in the fight against disease. This system of veins and nodes transports and filters lymph fluid, which contains antibodies and lymphocytes (good) as well as bacteria (bad).

Food fats are absorbed via lymph veins in the gastrointestinal tract's lining.

This portion of the lymphatic system can cause significant malnutrition if it malfunctions. Excessive obesity induced by improper fat and carbohydrate metabolism is influenced by the lymphatic system.

The small intestine is surrounded by lymph nodes, which aid in your immune protection against foodborne illness. The Lymphatic System absorbs fat in the gut and transports fat-soluble vitamins into the bloodstream for fuel.

When the body comes into contact with the invaders, the lymphatic system is alerted, and infection-fighting cells are dispatched to prevent illness and disease from invading microorganisms.

The spleen also aids in the body's infection-fighting abilities.

Lymphocytes and another type of white blood cell known as macrophages are found in the spleen, and they engulf and destroy bacteria, dead tissue, and foreign matter before removing them from the blood passing through the spleen.

These guys have our immune systems back!

White Blood Cells (leukocytes) are primarily produced in the bone marrow and lymph nodes. They circulate throughout the bloodstream, and hangout within the lymph nodes, looking for foreign invaders to combat and infections that need to be dampened.

Having a lifespan of several days to many years, the spleen deactivates them when they have have done their bit.

So cute, and so hard-working :D
