🎶 A sneak peek behind the scenes at Macleod Day Program!

We recently stopped by Macleod and arrived right in the middle of rehearsals for their end of year concert, Decades of Dance.

Participants are busy preparing performances inspired by music from across the decades, with plenty of dancing, costumes and fun happening along the way. It was great to get a little preview of what they've been working on before the big day. 💚🕺

🏆 A proud moment for The Bridge Employment team

Recently, members of our Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) team attended the Victorian Community Achievement Awards, celebrating the positive work happening across communities throughout Victoria.

We were incredibly proud to see Alyssa Kazi recognised as a semi-finalist for the Real Flame Local Legend Award, while The Bridge IEA Team was named a finalist for the Konica Minolta Business for Good Award. 💙

While we didn’t take home an award on the night, being recognised at this level is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication of our team and the difference they continue to make for the people we support.

Congratulations to Alyssa and the entire IEA team! 👏

It’s Invisible Disabilities Week 💛

From 18–24 October, Invisible Disabilities Week is an opportunity to build greater awareness and understanding of disabilities that may not be immediately visible.

Invisible disabilities can include neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health and chronic conditions, and everyone’s experience can look different.

At The Bridge, we believe understanding starts with looking beyond what we can see, listening to people’s experiences and creating a community where everyone feels welcomed, understood and supported.

Not all disabilities are visible, but every experience matters.

🐍 A wild day at Narre Warren Day Program!

Participants and staff at our Narre Warren Day Program recently welcomed Australian Reptile Encounters for a hands-on experience with some fascinating creatures.

From turtles and lizards to a python, crocodile and even a leaf stick insect, there was plenty to see and learn along the way. Participants had the chance to get up close, learn more about the animals and enjoy something a little different together. 🐢

A big thank you to Australian Reptile Encounters for bringing the experience to Webb Street and sharing their knowledge with us. 🧡

💚 National Carers Week | 11-17 October 2026

This National Carers Week, we recognise and thank the carers who make such an important contribution to our communities every day.

Whether supporting a family member, friend or loved one, carers often balance their caring responsibilities alongside work, study, family and their own wellbeing. Their dedication helps people stay connected, maintain independence and achieve their goals.

At The Bridge, we're privileged to work alongside many carers whose support makes a lasting difference in the lives of the people we support.

To all carers, thank you for your care, commitment and compassion. 😊💚

💚 World Cerebral Palsy Day | Unique and United

Today, we join people around the world in recognising World Cerebral Palsy Day and celebrating the strength, individuality and achievements of people with Cerebral Palsy.

At The Bridge, we see every day the value that comes from creating inclusive communities where people can pursue their goals, build connections and participate in the things that matter most to them.

This year's message, Unique and United, reminds us that while every person's experience is different, together we can continue to advocate for greater understanding, accessibility and inclusion. 💚✨

50 million people. 50 million unique experiences. One shared goal of a more inclusive future.
