Congratulations to all the winners and finalists at the Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network Awards, from the team at Balcor.

Behind every business is a story of hard work, belief and people backing one another. It’s powerful to see Aboriginal businesses across the Territory recognised for creating opportunities, supporting families and strengthening our communities.

To the NTIBN team, thank you for bringing people together and celebrating that work.

Proud to stand alongside you. Here’s to keeping opportunity growing in the Territory.

Balcor is proud to join Banks Football Club as Major Sponsor.

Banks is one of the Territory’s historic football clubs, with generations of players, families and supporters contributing to its proud history on and off the field.

Importantly to Balcor, that history includes a longstanding commitment to including people with disability within the club and the broader Banks community.

That shared belief in participation, connection and belonging is at the heart of why we chose to get involved.

We’re proud to back Banks and support the next chapter of this great Territory football club.

Austin Wonaeamirri has played footy on some of Australia’s biggest stages, but some of his most important work is happening back home.

Today, Austin lives and works on the Tiwi Islands, supporting his own community through Balcor.

“It’s a privilege to work for my mob and work with them.”

We’re incredibly proud to have Austin as part of the Balcor team.

Local people. Local knowledge. Support that comes from home.

Meet Darren.

As one of our dedicated Support Workers, Darren is helping create a home away from home for participants staying at our respite house in Darwin.

Whether it’s for a short stay, a chance to recharge, or support while visiting from a remote community, our respite houses provide a safe, welcoming space where people are treated with dignity, respect and genuine care.

At Balcor, respite is more than accommodation. It’s about building confidence, creating connection, and making sure every participant feels comfortable, supported and culturally safe while they’re away from home.

Take a look inside one of our respite houses and see the spaces where care, community and independence come together.

Last Friday we had a staff training workshop in Milikapiti. This was for our staff who work on the Tiwi Islands to learn more about the NDIS and tips for supporting our participants in the area.

Thank you to Ella, Damian and Patrick for running this workshop and to our staff on Tiwi for providing amazing supports to our participants on the Islands.
