Ta**us Full Moon @ 3 degree
26 October 2026
The Feather and the Abyss
The Ta**us Full Moon draws us towards the body, the land, the sensual and enduring mysteries of being alive.
Beneath the silver gaze of the Ta**us Moon, the Earth remembers what the soul has forgotten.
Across the heavens, the Scorpio Sun illuminates the hidden chambers where desire, grief, power and transformation dwell.
There is a place between the feather and the abyss where every heart must one day stand.
Here, the ancient scales await us.
Not to weigh our worth by the treasures we have gathered, the love we have won, or the image we have fashioned for the world.
But to ask what remains when the ornaments fall away.
For too long, we have mistaken the familiar for the sacred, the beautiful for the true, and the keeping of peace for the presence of love.
We have polished the brass of empty scales, carried the weight of unspoken truths, and called our surrender a virtue.
Yet beneath the fertile soil, the roots know.
A life cannot flourish on what the soul has outgrown.
Venus, keeper of both Ta**us and Libra, returns us to the oldest questions of value and balance.
What do we cherish
What do we exchange
Where have we given too much, received too little, or bartered away our inner knowing to preserve the fragile architecture of belonging
And between them, the scales tremble.
For the feather does not ask whether our lives appear balanced.
It asks whether we have lived in right relationship with the truth within us.
Then comes Pluto, the keeper of the underworld, pressing against the foundations of our certainty.
The abyss opens.
And there, in the darkness, we meet the selves we have buried: the anger we swallowed to remain lovable, the boundaries we surrendered to remain accepted, the hunger for recognition we dressed in the robes of righteousness.
Some will discover that their freedom lies in learning to say no.
Others will discover that the wall they built for protection has become a prison.
Some must relinquish the throne of the ego.
Others must rise from the shadows and reclaim the light they were taught to hide.
The journey is never identical, for every soul carries its own constellation.
Yet the question remains universal:
What have we sacrificed to maintain the peace, and what truth is now asking to be restored
Ellias Lonsdale’s image for this degree is A Sleepwalker — a traveller moving through the unseen landscape of the soul, guided towards a knowledge that cannot be found upon the surface.
Perhaps we, too, have been sleepwalking through the gardens of our own lives, following old paths long after the heart has begun to wander elsewhere.
But awakening does not always arrive as thunder.
Sometimes it comes as a feather falling upon still water.
A quiet recognition.
A dream that will not leave us.
The sudden knowing that what once sustained us no longer allows us to grow.
And beyond the abyss, the clover waits.
The Sabian image speaks of natural steps leading towards a lawn blooming with clover.
We need not leap across the darkness in a single act of courage.
We need only recognise the next honest step, and then have the courage to take it.
Above us, the North Node in Aquarius calls us beyond the narrow kingdom of the self, towards a more conscious participation in the collective life we share.
The South Node in Leo asks us to release the need to be chosen, applauded or placed at the centre of every story.
But the heart must not be extinguished.
Its fire is sacred.
We are learning to let that fire illuminate rather than consume, to create without possessing, to love without disappearing, and to shine without requiring another to stand in darkness.
As Neptune’s long passage through Pisces gives way to its new journey through Aries, the old dream dissolves and a new question rises from the waters:
What are we willing to embody now that we can no longer hide behind what we once believed
Saturn asks us to give our ideals form. Neptune asks us to dream beyond the limits of what we know.
Together at the beginning of Aries, they reminded us that a new world cannot be born through longing alone.
The vision must meet the Earth.
The truth must enter the body.
The awakening must become our way of living.
And so we return to the scales.
The feather.
The abyss.
The fertile ground beneath our feet.
Perhaps true balance is not the absence of darkness, nor the preservation of a life that never changes.
Perhaps it is the courage to enter the underworld without surrendering our soul, to face what we find there, and to emerge with a deeper reverence for the life that is ours to tend.
May we release the peace that diminishes us.
May we honour the truth that sets us free.
And may we learn to weigh our hearts not against the world’s approval, but against the quiet, enduring wisdom of a soul becoming whole.
For beyond the abyss, the Earth is waiting. And the next natural step is ours to take as we embark upon the journey of self Love đź’ž
