Today we're celebrating someone who is often working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly and everyone feels supported 🥳💜

As our Operations Coordinator, Brie is a caring problem solver who always goes above and beyond for both participants and our team. Whether she's finding solutions, juggling last-minute changes, or helping people navigate challenges, she brings patience, kindness, and genuine care to everything she does.

A day out in Nyngan 🌾

Our group recently headed off on a day trip to Nyngan, taking in some of the town's iconic sights and enjoying everything the community has to offer 😊

The crew checked out the famous Big Bogan, stopped by the Bogan River, admired the beautiful painted water towers, and even spotted some pretty cool cars while exploring the town 🚗🎨

After a morning of sightseeing, the group enjoyed lunch together at the Nyngan RSL Club 🍽️

When we asked Dane what his favourite part of the day was, his answer was simple: "I enjoyed it all!" 😊

Amanda was especially impressed by her strawberry milkshake, saying, "It was in a can!" 🥤

And for Randy, the highlight was easy: "Lunch and a cold b**r to go with it." 🍻

From local landmarks to good food and great company, it was a day filled with laughter, conversation, and plenty of memorable moments 💜

This week, we're recognising National Carers Week and this year's theme, Care for a Carer: Making Carers Visible. It's a reminder to acknowledge and appreciate the carers in our families, workplaces and communities 🫶

At Empowered Choices, we're fortunate to see the positive impact carers have in the lives of the people they support. Through their care, encouragement and commitment, they help people achieve their goals, maintain important connections, and participate in the activities that matter most to them.

🌿 Worth the Walk! 💪

Em and her support worker Dee headed to Orange for an appointment recently, but the day turned into a little adventure as well. 🚗

With some time to spare before the appointment, the pair enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Ophir Hotel before heading out to Clergate Falls, a place Em had been wanting to visit for quite some time. 🌿

The walk to the lookout wasn't easy, but Em was determined to get there. Despite the challenge, she pushed through and made it to the lookout, feeling incredibly proud of what she had achieved. 👏

By the end of the walk, a wet wipe on the face was the perfect way to cool down! 😄

It's always wonderful to see participants setting goals, challenging themselves, and experiencing the sense of achievement that comes from persevering and reaching them.

Great work, Em! 💜

🚶‍♀️ Starting the Day the Right Way! 🌞

Anna and her support worker have been making the most of the mornings with regular walks together 👟

These walks are a great opportunity to get moving, enjoy some fresh air, and spend time out and about in the community. Along the way, there's always plenty of conversation, laughs, and interesting things to see.

It's been wonderful to see Anna building healthy routines, staying active, and enjoying the simple pleasure of getting out for a morning stroll.
