Support Coordinators Skye and Kelly were out in Coonamble, spending time with clients and their representatives.

It was lovely to catch up in person, hear how everyone is going and talk through what’s working well and where extra support may be needed. Staying connected helps our Support Coordinators understand what matters to each person and work alongside them and their support networks as they navigate their NDIS plans and work towards their goals.

Thanks to everyone who made time to meet with Skye and Kelly.

We've received some really positive feedback from C's team about the support our men have been providing, and it's always good to hear the difference our team is making.

Our men have continued to show up for C, providing consistency, encouragement and genuine support while helping him work towards his goals.

Sometimes it's about more than just the support itself. It's about building trust, creating connections and having the right people around you who genuinely care.

Wel done Seaun Snr, Jai, Manassah and Seaun Jnr. Your hard work and commitment don’t go unnoticed.

A little shopping, cooking and tenpin bowling on supports yesterday!

C chose what he wanted to cook, picked up the ingredients and got involved in preparing a good feed. Everyday activities like these are a great way to practise planning, shopping and cooking skills while building confidence and independence.

Afternoon supports in Wellington!

J headed to the pool with our Support Worker Robyn for a swim this afternoon after school.

We love seeing J spend her supports doing something she enjoys. Having a say in her afternoon and getting out in her local community is what it’s all about.

Out on Country today!

K spent the day out at Peak Hill yabbying with our Supports Manager, Seaun.

Couldn't have picked better weather for it!

We love seeing K in his element, getting outdoors and doing what he enjoys.

A little look inside our YIRRA respite house in Dubbo.

A place for home-cooked meals, a yarn around the table, a game or two and time to settle in and feel comfortable.

Everyone has their own routines, interests and ways of doing things. We take the time to get to know each person and what helps them feel at home.

Whether it’s heading out for a favourite activity, trying something new or enjoying a quiet afternoon, there’s room to make each stay their own.

It’s the little things—the familiar faces, shared laughs and feeling welcome—that make a stay special.

Good support starts with knowing the person—what matters to you, what you enjoy and what you want to achieve.

At YIRRA, our Community Supports are shaped around you. This might look like:

• Getting to appointments and having support along the way.
• Shopping, preparing meals and building everyday living skills.
• Getting out for a fish, lunch or a community event.
• Trying new activities and exploring your interests.
• Building confidence accessing your community.
• Connecting with others, culture and community.
• Developing routines and working towards greater independence.

Our team takes the time to build trust and understand how you want to be supported. Everyday tasks, new experiences and personal goals all matter—and you have a say in what your supports look like.

A lot of Support Coordination happens through everyday conversations — hearing how things are going, following up when something hasn’t worked and making sure your choices are heard.

At YIRRA, we value the trust our participants place in us. We take the time to build relationships, understand what matters to each person and work alongside them as life and goals change.

At YIRRA, our First Nations Support Coordinators bring cultural understanding, lived experience and a commitment. We help you understand your NDIS plan, connect with the right services and have your voice heard in decisions about your supports.
