Each year Meals on Wheels NSW recognises outstanding local innovations within Meals on Wheels Services throughout New South Wales.
The theme for 2026 was “Innovation Beyond the Meal”
The award presentations took place at the Meals on Wheels NSW Annual General Meeting this week & we were thrilled when Meals on Wheels Parkes, Forbes and West Wyalong was announced as Winner of the 2026 Innovation Award for our Ronald McDonald House Orange Christmas Fundraiser.
In October 2025, Meals on Wheels Parkes launched a community fundraiser to provide nutritious frozen meals for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Orange over the Christmas period.
The 2025 fundraiser received overwhelming support from the local community, with over 320 nutritious meals being delivered to RMH Orange. The meals represent the support of the entire community, reminding families that their community is standing beside them during one of the most difficult times in the lives.
The fundraiser is being held again this year over the three offices of Parkes, Forbes and West Wyalong. Please give your local office a call to find out how to donate. Just one Meal can make a difference.
