Some lovely news from the Collective! 🤍

We're excited to share that Diana from Kind Tide Counselling is increasing her time at Geelong Wellness Collective!

Previously joining us on Fridays, Diana will now also be opening up appointments on Mondays.

Diana is a clinical counsellor who is passionate about supporting children, teens and families.

While her work is grounded in clinical counselling, she also enjoys incorporating somatic and body-based techniques into her sessions, recognising the connection between our emotional experiences and our bodies.

And did you know Diana has over 20 years of experience working with children, young people and families?

After many years working within local government, supporting young people and families in our community, Diana has moved into private practice.

And the lovely news is that she currently has no waiting list!

We know finding the right support for yourself or your young person can take time, so we're really pleased to be able to share this opportunity with our community.

If you'd like to learn more about Diana and how she may be able to support you, your child or your teenager, you can visit her website through the link in our bio.

Or feel free to send us a DM and we'll happily pass on her contact details.

We're so happy to have Diana growing her practice here at the Collective!

Today I'm remembering a beautiful soul who left this earth far too young 🤍

One of my best friends passed when she was just 20 years old.

I have been reflecting how one person, in such a short lifetime, can leave so much love behind.

She had the biggest heart. The kind of person who made you feel safe, who you could talk to about absolutely anything, whose hugs felt like home and who somehow managed to bring laughter and joy wherever she went.
She didn't just have that impact on me. She touched so many people throughout our community.

For her family and everyone who loved her, there will always be a space that nobody else can fill. I know I can't take away their grief or bring her back.

But I continue to remember her, speak about her and honour the beautiful person she was.

Every year, on her birthday and the anniversary of her passing, I buy her roses.

I read through our old letters and laugh at the ridiculous names she used to call me and our teenage conversations 😂.

I remember the fun we had, the conversations, the hugs and all the little moments that made our friendship what it was.

She taught me so much, but perhaps one of the greatest gifts she gave me was teaching me to feel.

She showed me how to love deeply, showed me how express what I feel and to appreciate the people who make life so special.

And even now, 18 years later, she's someone I can turn to in spirit.

I often think about the people who come into our lives and the impact they leave on us.

Some are here for decades, others for a much shorter time. But the love, the lessons, the memories and the little pieces of themselves they leave with us can stay for a lifetime.

Today I'm feeling grateful that I got to call her my best friend.

Grateful for the 20 years she was here, for the friendship we shared and for all the ways she continues to be part of my life.

And perhaps that's one of the beautiful things about love.

It doesn't end when someone's time here does.🤍

This October’s sound journey in Geelong is unlike anything I’ve offered before.

I’m so excited to share that my dear friend Tashiko Temple will be joining me for the session, singing and playing instruments alongside me as we hold you in sound together for the full hour.
Tashiko is a psychic medium, vibrational healer and astral guide, and her voice is something truly extraordinary.

Everyone who joins us will receive both of our energies woven through Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, a crystal pyramid, drum, seeds and chimes.

This is going to be a layered, immersive, deeply moving experience.

And honestly… this is just the beginning of some very exciting things Tashiko and I have in store together. Watch this space.

Everything you need is provided: mats, blankets, pillows, bolsters and eye masks. We’ll even have some herbal tea to enjoy. Just bring anything extra that makes you feel snug and settled.

THE BIG EXHALE

You're juggling all the things, showing up for everyone else, getting through the to-do list… and somewhere along the way, you forget to make space for yourself.

So we're doing something a little different.

On Saturday 31 October, we're opening the doors at Geelong Wellness Collective for The Big Exhale — a donation-based community breathwork hour.

An opportunity to reconnect with yourself and your breath, and experience the power of taking an hour just for you.

This is our way of giving back to our Geelong community, while welcoming you to experience the classes and practices we offer at GWC.

• No experience needed
• Donation-based — give what you can
• A welcoming space to slow down and reconnect

Whether things have been feeling a little heavy lately or you're simply curious about breathwork, we'd love to have you there.

You don't have to wait until you're running on empty to take a moment for yourself.

Group classes, why we love them! 🤍

There's something really special about bringing a group of people together to share an experience.

We all arrive with different stories, different experiences and different reasons for being there.

Some come to find a little quiet amongst the busyness of life. Others are curious to try something new, connect with people or explore a different way of supporting their wellbeing.

And that's something I really love about our classes at the Collective.

You don't have to know anyone. You don't have to have tried the class before. And you certainly don't have to feel like chatting or sharing if that's not what you need that day.

Sometimes the connection comes through conversation and laughter.

Other times, it's simply being in a room with others, enjoying the same experience in your own way.

I also love that our classes introduce us to different people, perspectives and practices. There's always something to learn, explore or take away.

And over time, familiar faces begin to return, conversations continue and little connections start to grow.

That's the kind of community we are building here.

A place where people feel comfortable coming along, trying something new and discovering what they enjoy.

Because sometimes it's not just the class itself that stays with us, but the people and moments we experience along the way. 🤍

We'd love to welcome you to one of our classes!

The beautiful sunshine this weekend has been such a lovely reminder of the joy that a little warmth can bring.

Spring is well and truly making itself known.

Leaves returning to our trees, flowers blooming, bees buzzing around and those beautiful warmer days beginning to return.

I really do love the changing seasons. Each one brings something different, its own little magic, and I love noticing those changes as they come.

Today I spent some time outdoors with my family, enjoying the sunshine and taking in the beauty of Geelong, the place we're lucky enough to call home.

It's also home to our little Collective, which makes me appreciate it even more.

Feeling particularly grateful today for this beautiful part of the world, the changing seasons and the simple joy of being outside with the people I love.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead 🤍

“I love our space, thank you.” 🤍

A little note left on my desk by one of our beautiful practitioners.

Of course, I love this space too. I love what we offer, the people who bring it to life and the little Collective and community we're growing together.

But what this note really reminded me of was how much the little things matter.

A handwritten note, a few kind words, a genuine compliment.

Sometimes something so simple can completely shift how you're feeling, often without the other person even realising it.

Tonight, as we get ready for our meditation class, I'm feeling particularly grateful to be surrounded by such generous, kind and supportive souls.

And perhaps it's a little reminder for all of us to share those kind thoughts when they come to mind.

You never know how much they might mean to someone.

Meditation is something I've been practising for many years. And while I don't always make time for it as often as I'd like, I know how much of a difference it makes when I bring it into my routine more regularly. 🤍

Which is why having meditation as a monthly offering at the Collective feels so good.

Something I really love about growing this space is being able to bring in classes and experiences that have been, or still are, an important part of my own life.

This month, Michelle from Soulful Counselling has chosen Rest & Restore as the focus for our Return to the Heart meditation class.

It's something she feels is particularly needed at the moment, and I think many of us may be able to relate to that too.

An evening to be guided, supported and given the opportunity to find some quiet amongst everything else going on in life.

We still have spaces available and would love you to join us. Whether meditation is already part of your life or something you've been wanting to explore, you're so welcome.
