Casual Gaming & Customer Service Assistant

Are you passionate about gaming, available to work evenings and weekends, and enjoy helping people? Looking for casual work? We'd love to hear from you!

The Zone Geraldton is looking for a friendly, reliable and responsible person to join our team!

🎮 What does the role involve?

Helping customers access, set up and play PC and console games

Supervising gaming sessions and assisting players of all abilities

Troubleshooting basic gaming and equipment issues

Assisting with birthday parties, events and activities

Providing excellent customer service, including bookings and payments

Independently managing shifts, including opening and closing the centre

⭐ We're looking for someone who:

Has good practical knowledge of PC and console gaming

Is confident, responsible and able to work independently

Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Is patient, approachable and enjoys working with children and young people

Shows initiative and a willingness to learn

Previous customer service or supervisory experience is an advantage but not essential.

🕒 Employment & Availability

Casual employment with variable shifts.

Shifts vary depending on bookings, events and activities. Flexibility is essential.

Shifts may include weekday afternoons, evenings (occasionally until 10 pm), weekends and school holidays.

Weekend availability is essential.

Hours vary, with no guaranteed weekly hours.

If you had the chance to have one game as a remake what game would it be?
My personal choice would be Need For Speed Underground because it was my favourite racing game on the Ps2 and I didnt like the newer ones...mainly because of the police chases!

FUN GAMING FACT!

Did you know?

The Nintendo Game Boy survived a bomb blast!

During the Gulf War in 1991, a Game Boy was damaged in a bombing, leaving its outer casing badly burnt and melted but it still worked!
The damaged Game Boy was later displayed at the Nintendo Store in New York, where visitors could see it running Tetris!

What is your all time favourite game and why?

Mine would have to be The Sims, I always go back to it one way or another. I like it because I can build and be creative and cause chaos all at the same time!
