๐๐ DOWN SYNDROME AWARENESS MONTH ๐๐
Different ways of experiencing the world. The same right to belong, thrive and be celebrated. ๐
At U-Change Consulting, our CEO and Advanced Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner in Complex Paediatrics, Tammy Freeman, champions a world where disability is met with understanding, differences are embraced, and every childโs individuality is valued.
This month, we celebrate one very special little girl, Kaylee-Jayde. ๐
A little girl who embodies strength, courage, determination and resilience in ways words can barely capture. ๐
Every day, Kaylee-Jayde shows up fiercely, navigating complex challenges with the biggest smiles, roaring laughter and an energy that is simply unmatched. She reminds us that strength can be joyful, resilience can be radiant, and a diagnosis will never tell the whole story of a person. โก๏ธ
๐ Kaylee-Jayde is more than what the world sees on paper. She is laughter, personality, determination, connection and a force of her own.
As Tammy advocates through her work, our responsibility is not to make children fit into the world around them, but to build environments that honour their communication, respect their autonomy and embrace their differences. ๐ซถ๐ฝ
Down syndrome is part of Kaylee-Jaydeโs story, but it does not define the entirety of who she is. ๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ
This October, letโs move beyond awareness towards acceptance, accessibility and genuine inclusion. Letโs celebrate people with Down syndrome not for overcoming their differences, but for who they are without conditions, comparisons or limitations. ๐ฟ
๐ Kaylee-Jayde, keep bringing your beautiful, fierce energy into the world. Your laughter matters. Your voice matters. Your place in this world is unquestionable.
๐๐ Always valued, accepted and included.๐๐
