We are asked every day what can I eat and so now we are stocking one of those answers.

As a clinic, we’re not just here for the hour you’re on the table. We want to help you make better choices - and here is a snack you can actually feel sure about.

New on the shelf at Bottoms Up: buckwheat crackers, porridge and bread mix from Eat to Live.

Why we recommend buckwheat is because it isn’t wheat at all even thought it has wheat in its name. It’s actually a seed, a cousin of rhubarb so it’s naturally gluten-free and gentle on a gut that’s already doing a lot of work.

Why we love it:

-Fibre to keep things moving (you know we care about that)
-Plant protein with all the essential amino acids
-Magnesium for muscles, nerves and a calmer system
-Rutin, a plant compound that supports healthy blood vessels
-In traditional Chinese medicine, buckwheat is considered cooling and is linked with the spleen, stomach and large intestine - it’s been used to help clear heaviness and stagnation in the gut

Top them with avocado, tahini, nut butter or a smear of hummus and you’ve got breakfast or an afternoon snack sorted.

Grab a pack at your next session or pop in if you’re around Main Beach, Gold Coast!

Just beet it!!

We’ve had a few clients light up the viewing tube in hot pink this week, and no, they weren’t alarmed for long cos they’d all eaten beets or had beetroot juice.

So why does this happen?

Beetroot gets its colour from a pigment called betanin. Your stomach acid, iron and gut bacteria all work to break it down, but they can only handle so much at once. A big serve or a glass of beetroot juice can simply overwhelm them, and the leftover pink comes straight through.

But that pink is also a handy little test. Because it’s so easy to spot, you can use it to see how long food takes to move through you.

Try it: eat a good serve of beetroot, note the time, and watch for pink.

Around 12 to 24 hours - what many practitioners see as ideal.
Under 10 hours - food is rushing through too fast.
Over 2 to 3 days - things are moving too slowly.

Curious what your timing says about you? Book in and let’s get you moving at the right beet.

I see what this therapy does for people every single day, and If I could get everyone on my table, I would.

We all think we're fine. We're busy, we're coping, we're getting through. But your body is carrying a workload you can't see, and it doesn't always get the chance to catch up.

That's exactly what this is for. A gentle hydration session that helps offset the workload so your body can reset.

Your gut does so much for you. Please, give it back the number one thing it's asking for. Water.

Hydration can do so much for you, and Rojas colon Hydrotherapy takes it straight to where it's needed most.

Respectful, nurturing, and honestly one of the best things you can do for your health

Some of the biggest changes start with one small yes.

Yes to stopping and listening to your body. Yes to letting go of what you’ve been carrying - physically and otherwise. Yes to being looked after, gently, by someone who wants to understand the why behind how you feel.

On the other side of that yes is a body that moves things through, a mind that feels clearer, and a path forward that finally makes sense. Not a quick fix - a foundation.

Bottoms up to saying yes.
