I felt called to create this carousel because lately I’ve had a number of conversations with women in their 50s and moving into their 60s who feel as though they’re running out of time to achieve what they want to achieve.
The children have grown up. They’re entering a stage of life where they’re making serious decisions for themselves, perhaps for the first time in a very long time. And there can be this feeling of, “Is there enough time left for me to create the life I actually want?”
But I don’t think this conversation belongs to any one age group.
I remember being in my mid-20s and having panicking because I felt like I was running out of time.
I think there are periods in many of our lives where we look around and feel as though we should be further ahead. Perhaps we haven’t achieved what we thought we would. Perhaps our life doesn’t look the way we imagined it would by now. Perhaps we haven’t even discovered the thing that will become deeply meaningful to us yet.
Let the women in this carousel be a reminder that it is never too late to open your eyes to a new passion, a new project or an entirely new chapter.
Where you are today is not necessarily where you will remain.
Not having it figured out in this exact moment does not mean you will forever be stuck in this space.
And perhaps, in those moments when it feels as though the sun is setting on something we thought our life would be, we can remember that a setting sun is not the end of the story.
Perhaps it is simply making space for another rising 🌞🤍🙏
