It's been a hot one this week - and it's not cooling down yet☀️
We're looking at low 30s on Thursday and Friday. That's the first real heat of the season, and little bodies haven't had time to adjust yet.
Babies can't tell you they're too hot. Or that they're thirsty. So it's up to us to spot the signs early.
In this post:
✔️ Signs of dehydration
✔️ When it's more than just hot
✔️ Keeping them hydrated
✔️ Dressing for the heat
✔️ Sun protection
✔️ Easy cooling tips
✔️ Two big never evers
Save this so it's there when you need it. Then send it to whoever's looking after your baby this week. Grandparents, nannies, babysitters. Everyone.
I'm a paediatric ED nurse and I see the red flags every single shift. Most of the time it's a hot, cranky baby who needs a feed and a cool bath. Sometimes it's not. Knowing the difference is everything.
