🌿🍢 WEDNESDAY 11TH NOVEMBER – BBQ COOK-UP & BAMBOO LAND ADVENTURE! 🎋🌈
We're mixing things up this Wednesday at the EYDS Day Program with a delicious hands-on cooking experience followed by a beautiful afternoon exploring nature! 💜💚🧡

🍢🔥 MORNING – BUILD YOUR OWN BBQ CHICKEN SKEWERS!
It's time to get creative in the kitchen! Our participants will be preparing their very own BBQ chicken skewers, choosing their ingredients, assembling their creations and enjoying a delicious BBQ lunch together!
Cooking activities are a fantastic way to develop everyday life skills, encourage independence, practise decision-making and build confidence. Plus, everything tastes better when you've made it yourself! 😋

🎋🌿 AFTERNOON – BAMBOO LAND ADVENTURE!
After lunch, we're heading out to the beautiful Bamboo Land for an afternoon surrounded by lush greenery, towering bamboo and peaceful gardens!
We'll explore the grounds, enjoy the fresh air, take in the beautiful scenery and spend quality time connecting with friends.

Getting outdoors and exploring new places is such an important part of what we do at EYDS. It's about encouraging curiosity, building friendships, supporting physical and emotional wellbeing and creating meaningful experiences beyond the usual routine. 🌞

💜 AT EYDS, WE BELIEVE COMMUNITY ACCESS SHOULD BE ABOUT MORE THAN JUST GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE. It's about having choices, trying new experiences, building skills and making memories!

We're heading to the Hervey Bay Beach House Hotel for a fun morning of BINGO! Get ready to mark those numbers, enjoy some laughs and maybe even shout BINGO! 🥳 It's a wonderful opportunity to get out into the community, socialise with friends and enjoy a little friendly competition.

We currently have 1 vacancy available in our brand new female-only Supported Independent Living (SILS) home in Maryborough, and we are looking for the right lady to join two lovely existing participants.

This home would suit someone who is quiet, kind, friendly and enjoys a calm, crafty environment, with 1:3 ratio supports and full support provided by the team at Empowering You Disability Services. If you or someone you support is looking for a new place to call home, this could be a beautiful opportunity to become part of a welcoming and supportive household.
