🌻 Life Ready – Connecting, Checking In and Sharing a Sausage Sizzle
The Life Ready group recently enjoyed a relaxed sausage sizzle at beautiful Etty Bay to mark R U OK? Day.
While there was plenty of good food, laughs and beautiful scenery, the day was also an important reminder about the value of positive relationships and genuine connection.
For our Life Ready participants, building positive relationships is an important part of developing confidence, independence and a sense of belonging. Spending time together outside the office provides opportunities to make new friendships, practise communication skills, support one another and simply enjoy being part of a group.
R U OK? reminds us that meaningful connections don't have to involve big conversations. Sometimes it is as simple as sitting together, having a laugh, sharing a meal and taking the time to ask someone how they are going. Regular, genuine conversations help build trust and let people know that someone cares.
The Life Ready group demonstrated this beautifully at Etty Bay - good food, good company, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, positive connections. 💛
Because looking after our wellbeing isn't just about asking “R U OK?” once a year - it's about building relationships where people feel supported, valued and connected every day. Another fantastic Life Ready experience! 🌟
