Every day at Peppermint Place brings new opportunities for our participants to explore their interests, express their creativity and develop important life skills through play! 🥰

Whether they’re enjoying the movement and excitement of swinging, getting creative with colourful chalk, practising turn-taking and social skills through card games, or using their imaginations with the dollhouse, every activity offers valuable opportunities for learning and development. 🎨🃏🏡

These everyday experiences help encourage coordination, creativity, communication, problem-solving and social interaction, while also supporting confidence, independence and positive connections with others.

We believe that play is about so much more than having fun. It’s about discovering new interests, building relationships, developing skills and celebrating each participant’s unique strengths and abilities. 💚

Little people with big personalities, big imaginations and so much to share! 🥰

At Peppermint Place, we love celebrating the unique personalities, interests and strengths that make each of our little participants so special. From their cheeky smiles and curious minds to their determination to try new things, every day brings opportunities to learn, grow and shine in their own individual ways. 🌟

Through play, exploration and everyday experiences, children develop important skills such as communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, problem-solving and independence. These moments also give them opportunities to express themselves, make choices, build relationships and discover more about the world around them.

We recognise that every child develops at their own pace and has their own unique way of communicating, learning and connecting with others. By creating a supportive, inclusive and engaging environment, we encourage each child to embrace their individuality, build confidence and feel valued for exactly who they are. 💚

💚 Looking for a fun, supportive and engaging adult day programme? 🌈

At Peppermint Place, our Adult Programme offers opportunities for participants to connect with others, explore their interests, develop new skills and enjoy meaningful activities in a welcoming and inclusive environment. 🥰

Our programme runs Monday to Friday, 9am–2pm, with a variety of activities designed to encourage independence, build confidence, support social connections and make every day enjoyable! ✨

We understand that everyone has their own interests, strengths and goals, and we love creating opportunities for participants to learn, grow, have fun and feel a sense of belonging. 💚

🚗 Need help with transport? Pick-up and drop-off options from home are available to help make attending our programme easier for participants and their families.

🌟 We currently have spaces available!

Play dough is a wonderful hands-on activity that encourages fine motor skills, hand strength and hand-eye coordination. Using different cutters also provides opportunities to practise problem-solving, explore shapes and colours, and express creativity while making their own little creations. 👐

Whether she’s creating little stories with dolls and Barbies or challenging herself on the monkey bars, play offers so many wonderful opportunities to learn and grow!

Playing with dolls encourages imagination, creativity, language and social skills, while the monkey bars help develop upper-body strength, coordination, balance and confidence. 💪✨

Our participants enjoyed a fun pretend shopping trip to ALDI, choosing items, filling their shopping baskets and exploring the experience of visiting a supermarket. 🛍️😊

Pretend play like this is a great way to practise everyday life skills, including decision-making, communication, recognising items and understanding shopping routines. It also encourages independence, imagination and social interaction in a fun and engaging way.

Learning everyday skills through play makes the experience enjoyable, meaningful and full of opportunities to grow! 💚✨

🎾 Fun, games and teamwork at Peppermint Place! 💚

Our participants had a fantastic time playing a fun ball game together, using tennis rackets to hit a ball hanging from a string. There were lots of smiles, laughter and opportunities to enjoy being active together! 😄

This activity helps develop hand-eye coordination, motor skills, timing and concentration, while also encouraging turn-taking, teamwork and social connection.

Splashing, scooping, pouring and exploring! 💦

Water play is a fun, hands-on way to encourage fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and early problem-solving. As children experiment with filling and emptying containers, they begin to explore concepts such as cause and effect, volume and movement — all while learning through play!

At Peppermint Place, we love celebrating the little moments that support big steps in learning and development. 💚
