🏡💜OUR AWARD-WINNING TRANSFORMATION 🏗️💛
When we bring the Outside Inside for the 2026 Warramunda Village Open Day tomorrow, we’ll also be throwing open the doors on one of the most exciting periods of development in our history.
And we can’t wait to show you around!
Only a few months ago, Warramunda was celebrating recognition at the 2026 Ageing Australia You Are ACE! Awards, where two very different projects were recognised: our innovative digital care program supporting Community Care clients, and the extraordinary redevelopment taking place within our Residential Aged Care facility.
🏗️ Ten new resident rooms
💇 A new hair salon
🤝 New meeting facilities
🩺 A brand new dedicated Allied Health room
🏡 Major improvements throughout the Village
✨ And now, our beautiful new entrance and reception area
Board member and designer Dale Denham, Capital Projects Manager Stuart Burt and CEO John Clark have been key players in delivering the transformation.
Together with administrator Jason White, they’ll be among those leading tours on Open Day, taking visitors behind the scenes and explaining what comes next.
Because this is only part of the story.
Our Master Plan is building towards a Warramunda Village capable of accommodating 130 residential aged care residents by 2030, up from just 82 only 18 months ago. 📈
Perhaps one of the most impressive parts of the project has been how it has been delivered.
Construction has continued without major interruption to the everyday lives of residents or the work of our staff. In fact, several residents have thoroughly enjoyed watching the transformation unfold around them and seeing each new piece of the puzzle completed.
On Open Day, the new entrance will provide your first glimpse of that transformation.
But don't stop there! 👀
Keep an eye and ear out when you arrive for details of our guided redevelopment tours, because there is much more to see and plenty more planned.
☕ And while you’re exploring, The Switch Café will be open, giving visitors the perfect place to grab a coffee, something to eat and soak up a little Warramunda Village life.

It's time to introduce another of the wonderful faces from our Warramunda Community Care office team!

🌸 MEET CAROLYN – ROSTER COORDINATOR 🌸

Today we're shining the spotlight on one of the most challenging roles in Community Care — our Roster Coordinators!

Coordinating services for nearly 300 clients is a never-ending juggling act! Between last-minute changes, staff illness, changing client needs and everything in between, our roster team certainly has their hands full.

It's not a role for the faint-hearted, and even our Director will happily admit she couldn't do their job! 😂

Our Roster Coordinators are the people who turn care plans into actual services, making sure our clients receive the support they need.

And right in the middle of all that organised chaos is Carolyn — the calm in our roster team! 💜

Carolyn joined us just over six months ago, and we're absolutely thrilled to have her as part of the Warramunda family.

"Roster Coordinator — answering the phone, liaising with and supporting our office and field staff, clients, families and support people."

"Behind the counter at French's Bakery."

"Cleaning windows!"

"The social support services available — like going for a cuppa, visiting a friend or simply going for a drive."

"Yes to pineapple!" 🍕

💜 What did you want to be when you were growing up?

"I don't remember wanting to be anything specific, but I'd love to work as a volunteer helping disadvantaged children or women."

"Brunch with family, pottering in the garden and watching a good movie with a piña colada!" 🍹

"Oysters! I saw far too many tins of smoked oysters growing up!"

🌸 MEET MARISSA – SERVICES & OPERATIONS COORDINATOR 🌸

Today's familiar face is sure to be a fan favourite! Many of you will already know Marissa, our wonderful Services & Operations Coordinator.

Marissa is one of those people who just gets things done! She's a no-fuss, straight-talking problem solver who keeps a hundred balls in the air and somehow manages to make it all look easy!

She's also the person who steps into the Acting Director of Community Care role when Leah is away, so it's fair to say she wears quite a few hats!

We're incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team. 💜

"I do a little bit of everything! Supporting the team, solving problems, and making sure our clients get the best care possible. No two days are ever the same!"

"I actually don't drink tea or coffee! I do love hedgehog or caramel slice though!" 😋

"I worked in the deli at Fitzgerald Supermarket!"

"Ironing! There are far more enjoyable things I could be doing with my time!"

"You don’t have to do everything on your own! There’s support available to help you stay independent, safe and happy in your own home."

"A nurse! I often joke that I’m a nurse without the qualifications anyway." 😂

🌳💜 OUTSIDE INSIDE | THERE'S MORE TO OUR REDEVELOPMENT THAN FOUR WALLS! 🏡🌸
When we open our doors for the Warramunda Village Open Day on Wednesday, October 28, visitors will see some extraordinary changes to our Village.

🏗️ Ten new residential rooms
💇 A beautiful new hair salon
🩺 A dedicated Allied Health room
🏡 A transformed entrance, reception and administration area

But there's another part of our transformation that deserves just as much recognition.

The work happening OUTSIDE our buildings! 🌿
Our wonderful maintenance and grounds team has been working tirelessly to ensure the areas surrounding our Village are every bit as welcoming as the spaces within it.

And it's a perfect example of our Outside Inside philosophy in action.

🌷 The Rockman and Mary Sleeth courtyards have both undergone significant redevelopment, creating more attractive outdoor environments for residents, families and visitors to enjoy.

🌳 At the rear of our building, further landscaping will transform the outlook from our newly developed residential rooms, with lawns, trees and garden beds becoming part of the everyday view.

And that's about much more than appearances.
For residents who spend considerable time indoors, being able to look through a window and enjoy greenery, changing seasons, birdlife and beautifully maintained gardens is an important part of their daily living experience.

It creates a connection to the outside world, even when they are enjoying the comfort of their own rooms.
That's what Outside Inside means to us. 💜

While our redevelopment team has been transforming the buildings, our Maintenance and Gardens Team has been quietly transforming the environment around them.
And we couldn't be prouder of their work.
