🥦 Do you know what's really on your fresh produce? 🍎
Pesticide Action Australia has released its 2026 Residue Report, raising important questions about pesticide residues found in everyday supermarket fruit and vegetables.
After independently testing 78 samples across 13 types of fresh produce purchased from Aldi, Coles and Woolworths, the organisation reported findings including:
🔬 PFAS-containing pesticides, often referred to as "forever chemicals"
⚠️ Pesticides not approved for use in the European Union
🐝 Neonicotinoids, which can pose risks to bees and other pollinators
🚫 Some residues exceeding regulatory limits
While fresh fruit and vegetables remain an essential part of a healthy diet, this report highlights the importance of transparency, informed food choices and understanding what goes into the food we eat.
Health extends beyond our practice. Small, informed choices can contribute to our overall health and wellbeing. 🌿
We encourage you to have a read and stay informed!
