Some of life’s greatest wisdom doesn’t come from books. It comes from living, loving, losing, questioning, healing and finding the courage to begin again.

Today, as I share Episode 46 of Sovereign Woman Radio, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude for this growing body of work. These conversations are born from lived experiences, personal growth and the lessons that have shaped the woman I am today.

Perhaps something I share won't resonate with you now. But one day, when life presents you with a challenge, these words may return to offer comfort, clarity or courage.

I believe the wisdom we gain through life isn't always ours to keep. Sometimes it's meant to be shared with the world.

And an exciting new chapter is beginning!

I'm opening Sovereign Woman Radio to other women who feel called to share their stories, experiences and wisdom.Women who have lived, learned, grown and feel something greater gently encouraging them to find their voice.

Because we all have a story. And sometimes our greatest challenges become the very wisdom that helps another woman find her way.

What does it really mean to live your yoga?

I believe some of our greatest opportunities to practise yoga happen when we're nowhere near our mats.

It's in the moment we choose patience instead of reacting.
When we recognise an old pattern and respond with greater awareness.
When we learn to listen to our bodies rather than constantly push through.
And when we begin to recognise the difference between what our mind is telling us and what we genuinely need.

The practice of yoga helps us develop this awareness. Through the Yoga Sutras, we explore concepts such as ahimsa (non-harming), satya (truthfulness), svadhyaya (self-study) and the cultivation of a steadier mind.

These aren't simply ideas to memorise.

They become meaningful when we begin living them.

This is why philosophy holds such an important place in my yoga teacher training.
Because before we share the teachings with others, we have an opportunity to experience them ourselves.

What teaching from yoga has had the greatest impact on your life? 🙏

Every woman has a story. Some stories have the power to change lives.

I'm opening the microphone on Sovereign Woman Radio to inspiring women who have lived, learned, created, led, loved, lost, rebuilt and grown.

You might be an entrepreneur, an author, a leader, a mother, a healer, or a woman who has quietly transformed her life.
I'm interested in the woman behind the achievements. The lessons behind the success. The courage behind the choices.

If you have a story that could inspire another woman, I'd love to hear from you.

The longer I teach yoga, the more I appreciate being a student. 🤍

My journey has taken me through the disciplines of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga, into the teachings and lineage of Krishnamacharya, and through years of exploring yoga philosophy, pranayama and Ayurveda.

Each stage has helped shape the way I practise and teach today.
I've come to appreciate that discipline and softness can exist together.

That we need both knowledge and direct experience. And that a good teacher never stops learning.

When I began guiding my first group through our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, it was a meaningful moment for me.

After years of being the student, I had the opportunity to share these teachings in a more comprehensive way, while continuing to learn alongside the group.
This is what I want for our next intake too.

Not simply to produce yoga teachers, but to encourage thoughtful, confident students who understand and respect the depth of the practice.

Our next journey begins in February 2027.

I'm looking forward to welcoming the next group. 🙏

Yoga was never meant to be only about the body. 🙏

In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali teaches us that yoga is concerned with understanding the movements of the mind.

The physical postures are one part of a much greater practice.
We also explore how we live, how we treat others, how we breathe, how we direct our attention and how we begin to understand ourselves.

This is one of the things I love most about teaching yoga.
The postures may bring us onto the mat, but the philosophy invites us to take yoga into everyday life.

In our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, we study the deeper foundations of yoga alongside our physical practice.

Because understanding why we practise can be just as important as knowing how.
Have you found that yoga has changed the way you respond to life outside the studio?

Maybe You Don't Need a New Life… Maybe You Need to Feel This One Again. 🤍

Have you ever felt restless, even though you've created a life you're grateful for?

I've been reflecting on this lately and realised something beautiful.

Perhaps I'm not longing for a different life. Perhaps I'm simply ready to share the one I've already created. ❤️

Someone to enjoy morning coffee with, share laughter, affection, adventures and those little everyday moments. Because being a strong, independent woman doesn't mean we stop longing for love and connection.

In this episode, I explore self-love, companionship, independence and finding joy in the ordinary moments.

Sometimes we don't need more. We simply need to feel more.

Have you ever felt there is something more to yoga?
You begin by attending a class. Perhaps you want to feel stronger, more flexible or a little more peaceful in your body. But somewhere along the way, something begins to shift.

You become curious about the breath, the mind, the ancient teachings and why this practice can have such a profound influence on your life.

This is where the deeper journey of yoga begins. After many years of studying, practising and teaching yoga, what continues to inspire me is how much there still is to discover.

Yoga is not something we master and finish. It is a lifelong relationship with ourselves.

In February 2027, I'll be welcoming a new group into our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training through Unity Yoga Ayurveda.

You don't need to know whether you want to teach. Sometimes the first calling is simply to understand more.

I'd love to know — what first brought you to yoga, and what keeps you coming back? 🙏
