Today’s cosy weather has us reminiscing Melanie’s incredible experience at ‘Death and Drinks: Myths on the Rocks’! 🌿

Melanie from The Practical Doila attended this wonderful event back in May, along with her good friend Cosette Paneque ✨

The event was organised by Baci Hillyer, a lovely End of Life Doula, and Linda Hart, a fantastic Estate Lawyer.

It was a fascinating evening where the biggest misconceptions about death, dying, and inheritance were debunked.

The night was filled with honest conversations, myth-busting and of course, cocktails! 🍸

Mel recalls fond memories of the event, saying that “it was a great event that truly did bust some very common myths!”

Many thanks to the organisers of this event and to the venue itself, Bouzy Rouge | Richmond Restaurant located in Richmond.
The space was gorgeous and full of life, and Mel hopes to visit again soon!

The event reminded us all that planning ahead isn’t about waiting for life to end.

It’s about making more space to live it. 💚

Being seen is always such a gift 🌿

One of the lovely outcomes of exhibiting at the Circle of Care Expo was an invitation for Melanie to provide professional development to the team at Taking Care Mobile Massage

After chatting with their team and learning more about their work, Melanie developed a bespoke presentation — “Knowing What Matters” — designed specifically to align with their policies, procedures and the role of their therapists.

The session explored Advance Care Directives, CPR and the role of the therapist, and was warmly received by the team, sparking some great discussion and interest.

We love creating education that is relevant, practical and tailored to the people in the room.
