Does your body feel more tense than it used to?

Maybe it's your shoulders.

Your neck.

Your lower back.

Or perhaps you notice that by the end of the day, your whole body feels heavy and tired.

We often keep going without really noticing what our body is telling us.

We sit for long periods.

We don't move as much as we'd like.

We carry stress.

We rush from one responsibility to another.

And sometimes we simply don't give our bodies enough time to recover.

It can be easy to think:

“That's just part of getting older.”

But feeling tense doesn't mean you have to ignore your body.

Start with the basics:

🌿 Gentle movement throughout the day
🌿 Regular rest
🌿 Warmth
🌿 Nourishing food
🌿 Slow, mindful breathing
🌿 Making time for supportive self-care

From an Ayurvedic perspective, warmth, oiling, rest and nurturing routines have traditionally been used as ways of caring for the body.

Ayurveda Massage is one of the services I offer at REVIVE Ayurveda, creating a space to slow down and give your body some attention.

Your body carries you through everything you do.

It deserves some care too. 🤍

Are you always the one doing, organising, caring and thinking about everyone else?

Sometimes we become so used to being busy that we forget what it feels like to simply pause.

You don't always need another thing to add to your day.

Sometimes you need a quiet moment to breathe, soften and reconnect with yourself.

Reiki is one of the ways I offer that space at REVIVE Ayurveda — a time to slow down and focus on your own wellbeing.

🌿 What would happen if you gave yourself permission to pause today?

Sometimes self-care isn't about doing more.

It can be about doing less.

In our busy lives, even rest can become another item on the to-do list.

“I need to exercise.”

“I need to eat better.”

“I need to meditate.”

“I need to get more organised.”

All useful things — but sometimes the body simply needs a moment without another demand.

Try this today:

🌿 Put your phone away for 5 minutes.

🌿 Sit somewhere comfortable.

🌿 Take a slow breath in.

🌿 Let your exhale be a little longer.

🌿 Notice your shoulders, jaw and hands.

🌿 Ask yourself: “What do I need right now?”

You don't have to solve everything.

Just pause and listen.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, creating moments of rest, routine and balance can be an important part of caring for ourselves.

At REVIVE Ayurveda, I also offer Reiki as a quiet space for relaxation and self-care.

Sometimes giving yourself permission to stop is the most nourishing thing you can do.🌷

You look after everyone else.

Your family.
Your work.
Your home.
The people who need you.

And somewhere along the way, your own needs can quietly move to the bottom of the list.

You may tell yourself:

“I'll rest when everything is done.”

But when is everything ever really done?

Taking care of yourself doesn't have to mean booking a whole day off or making a big change.

It can begin with something much simpler:

🌿 Sitting quietly for a few minutes
🌿 Taking a few slow breaths
🌿 Going for a gentle walk
🌿 Having your tea without rushing
🌿 Giving yourself permission to rest
🌿 Saying “not today” when you genuinely need a break

Self-care isn't selfish.

It is recognising that you are also someone who deserves care and attention.

At REVIVE Ayurveda, I believe wellbeing begins with creating space to pause, reconnect and listen to what your body and mind may be asking for.

Sometimes, that space may be supported through Reiki — a gentle practice that offers time to slow down, relax and simply receive.

When was the last time you did something just for you?

Save this for a moment when life feels a little too busy.

You don't have to completely stop everything.

Just pause for 30 seconds.

Feet on the floor.

Shoulders relaxed.

Gentle breath in.

Slow, comfortable breath out.

And notice how you feel.

Breathing practices can be a simple addition to your everyday self-care routine.

If you experience ongoing anxiety, significant distress or breathing difficulties, please seek appropriate professional support.

At REVIVE Ayurveda, I also offer Ayurveda Massage, Reiki, Shirodhara and Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultations to support different aspects of your wellbeing.

You finish work.

The house becomes quiet.

But your mind is still going.

Thinking.

Planning.

Replaying conversations.

Worrying about tomorrow.

Sometimes the body is ready to rest, but the mind hasn't received the message yet.

One simple practice you can try is slowing down your breathing.

Take a comfortable breath in.

Then allow your exhale to become slightly longer and slower.

Don't force it.

Just breathe comfortably and notice the difference.

Breathwork is not a replacement for professional support when you are experiencing anxiety or significant distress.

But simple breathing practices can become one small part of a calming self-care routine.

At REVIVE Ayurveda, I also offer Reiki, Ayurveda Massage and Shirodhara as different ways of creating time to pause and receive care.

Are you eating like this?

Eating in front of our computer while working.
Eating while standing.
Eating while watching your phone or tv.
Eating in rush.
Eating but your mind is busy thinking...

In Ayurveda, the way we eat is very important.

“Slow down. Your meal can wait.”
Be mindful when you eat.

We often ignore digestive discomfort because we have become used to it.

“I always feel bloated.”

“My digestion is unpredictable.”

“I eat too quickly.”

“I don't have time for breakfast.”

“I just work through it.”

But your everyday digestive patterns are worth paying attention to.

In Ayurveda, digestion is an important part of understanding overall wellbeing.

During an Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultation, I explore your eating patterns, meal timing, lifestyle, routine and other factors that may be relevant to your individual situation.

It isn't about putting everyone on the same diet.

It's about understanding what may suit you.

If you have persistent or concerning digestive symptoms, please speak with your GP or appropriate healthcare professional.

Ayurveda can complement appropriate medical care and provide lifestyle-focused support.
