The most interesting number in preventative health isn’t just what it costs. It’s how much more accessible it can become.

Comprehensive testing has traditionally come with a high price tag. But better technology and smarter systems are changing what it takes to deliver meaningful health insights.

At Everlab, we want more people to have access to a clearer picture of their health, without compromising on the quality of care behind it.

Our Health Baseline is $299 and includes:

• 40+ biomarkers across key areas of your health
• A 30-minute consultation with a preventive doctor
• A personalised understanding of your results, risks and opportunities
• A clear starting point for what to focus on next

Your health deserves more than a set of numbers. It deserves context, expert guidance and a plan.

Get your Baseline for $299.

Dr Nik estimates around 40% of the men he sees in their mid-30s to mid-40s come in thinking they’re doing pretty well.

They feel healthy, they’re functioning well, and they’re expecting a few small tweaks or some performance optimisation.

Then the results come back.

Often, the data tells a very different story from the one they walked in with.

Feeling healthy is one thing. Knowing you’re healthy is another.

Why does your energy crash every afternoon, no matter what you eat?

Dr Steven starts by questioning the assumption that you may not be eating as well as you think.
Understanding your everyday eating habits can reveal patterns that may be affecting your energy more than you realise.

But diet isn’t always the whole story. Even when nutrition is on track, poor sleep the night before could be behind that afternoon slump.

The answer to better energy might start the night before.

We asked Dr Nik to pick a side: matcha or coffee.

Coffee won, and not for the reason people expect.

It’s not about flavour or what’s trending. It’s about the evidence. Coffee has a much deeper body of research behind it, while matcha is still catching up.

That doesn’t mean matcha is bad for you. It simply hasn’t been studied to the same extent.

And yes, for Dr Nik, the taste didn’t exactly help matcha’s case either.

About 3% of people genuinely only need 5 hours of sleep, according to Dr Nik, and they check out fine on every measure when tested.

For the other 97%, 5 hours isn’t enough.

You might feel like you’ve adapted to it. But feeling functional isn’t the same as giving your body what it needs.

Five hours isn’t a flex.

Sleep is something worth protecting, not something worth sacrificing.

How old is your heart?

What about your kidneys or your lungs?

They may not be the same age as the rest of you.

Introducing OrganAge, Everlab’s new way of estimating the biological age of your individual organs and systems, built from your own health data.

Because understanding how your organs are aging gives your care team the ability to focus on exactly the areas that matter to your body.

This is what preventative health looks like when we stop guessing and start putting all the pieces together.

We asked Dr Nik to call out the biggest lie in wellness.

His answer says a lot about how health claims get built in the first place.

A real biological mechanism becomes a study.

The study becomes a headline.

The headline becomes a protocol.

And suddenly, something interesting in the research is being sold as a health strategy.

Dr Nik’s take: follow the evidence, not the hype.

Ask a doctor what they check first in your results, and the answer usually isn’t what people expect.

For Dr Nik, it’s the DEXA scan, visceral fat, muscle mass, bone density, before anything else. That’s his starting point for understanding what’s actually going on.

Everything else he looks at gets built around that first read.

Grounding: science or scam?

Dr Steven Lu’s answer is more nuanced than either.

Because “grounding” can mean two very different things.

There’s the barefoot-on-sand version.

Then there’s the sensory technique used in psychotherapy: five things you can see, four things you can hear, what you can smell, what you can taste.

Same word. Very different practice.

Dr Eldi’s preferred tool for managing stress? Breathwork.

Dr Nik has heard it constantly, from friends, family, and patients: no symptoms, so no need to test.

He’s also watched it go wrong more than once. Feeling fine and being fine aren’t always the same thing, some of the biggest risk factors don’t come with symptoms attached.

His response to the “I feel amazing” argument some restrictive diets lean on: plenty of things make people feel amazing short-term.

That’s not the same as being healthy.
