A week on the road from Ningaloo Reef to Luck Bay, via Quobba, Carnarvon, Pemberton, Denmark, Albany and Bremer Bay.

🏊‍♀️Stopping only for swims, farm produce, mushroom powders and visits with Yoga students from the past.

Stunning spring flowers along the way, generous kindness and water so clean and clear you’d think you’re in an aquarium.

If you’re in be sure to pop in to the BD farm on the north side of the river.

And whatever you do - time your roadie to hit Albany Farmers Market on a Saturday for not only an outstanding range of fresh produce and baked goods, but mainly the mushroom man from who’s been devoted to his craft for 50+ years and produces ‘the most bioavailable mushroom extracts on the market’.

I experiment with supplements out of curiousity - and his Lion’s Mane powder is the only one which I feel a significant effect on focus and clarity with.

Have you noticed how nature adapts so beautifully to harmonise with its environment? As we age, we’re invited to do the same.

Our bodies, energy levels and priorities shift. Part of adapting is recognising our changing needs—and questioning whether our old wants still serve us.

With insistence comes resistance.

If we insist on maintaining the identity of who we once were, producing the same output and keeping the same pace, we may begin to feel that resistance in our energy levels.

Going with the flow begins with seeing ourselves clearly, as we are today. Asking what we need in this chapter, rather than expecting ourselves to live exactly as we did in the last.

When did you last do a needs versus wants audit?



“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” (a wee midlife reference there).

Accepting the natural process of ageing opens us to the beauty this stage can offer. We can adjust how we move, rest, work and spend our time—and create space to enjoy what’s here now.

Fun can always be had, no matter your age.
And feeling fabulous now, could be different to feeling fabulous then.

Sometimes reality can be annoying, hard, undesirable. But it always is as it is. Unless we accept that which ‘is’, we’ll always be battling against it, denying it or wishing it was something different.

Camino. Day 1
Porto 👉🏽 Viana do Castel, vía bus, to skip a very urban couple of days (Highly recommended).

The lightest I’ve ever packed at around 5kg, was a great exercise in needs vs wants.
As I found out, I didn’t even need every single thing.

Loved the Portuguese iconography, their colours, their sweet little churches, and their food.

August is full of old traditions being celebrated with music, costume and connection.

Clarity shines 1000x brighter than the sun.

All we have to do is clear the noise long enough to reveal.

Even if only for a second.

There is profound relief in knowing that, for eight days, almost nothing will be required of you.

Your days are thoughtfully structured.
There are no devices, daily demands or decisions to make.

And as the external noise falls away, the internal noise begins to soften too.

You start to notice the thoughts that have been shaping your life—the old patterns, assumptions and narratives that usually run on auto-pilot.

In supported silence, there is space to question them. To retrain the mind. To change the story. To reconnect with the quieter wisdom beneath it all.

You don’t have to work harder to find clarity.

Sometimes, you simply need to become still enough to enjoy it.
